The Hotel de la Bretonnerie is brilliantly located in a relatively quiet street in the middle of the Marais district, which was very busy when we were there. The rooms are old-fashioned, but well decorated and charming -- and relatively large by Paris standards. So ours were comfortable enough - wifi and fridge were good. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast in the cozy underground cellar was good as well (FRESH orange juice!). The only downside was the maintenance going on on the exterior of the building in the lead up to the 2024 Olympics - scaffolding, workmen, noise during the day (not REALLY bad, but noticeable). Otherwise all good - they even moved us to a quieter room even though the hotel was pretty much full.

This hotel is clean, friendly and in a fantastic location. Sure, it doesn’t have air conditioning and it’s not a “5 star hotel”, but it’s exactly as it says it is, and the location is epic. Would stay again, no problems.

Great staff, very safe and quiet, love the decor and ambiance. Mini fridge wasn’t working in our room which was a bummer, but the front desk was kind enough to store some of our food as it was being repaired.

Great area close to all the sites. They were doing some renovations to the outside of the hotel. Not too bad, but some noise. Breakfast was good, lots of options. Staff was excellent and very helpful.

Although this hotel is in a great location and has amazing staff, we were very disappointed to arrive to the hotel and see it under construction. The entire outside was engulfed with scaffolding and tarps. Our "city view" was just tarps and we were awoken every morning before 8am by workers hammering right outside our window. The hotel does not have air conditioning and we were unable to open our windows while construction was happening. We were not notified in advance that this would be happening nor were we offered any sort of compensation.

The location is very convenient, close to major attractions in Paris. The staff in the front desk is super friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast as well.

Under construction old carpet ceilings too low guy was er 6ft could not stand up in doorway or shower drapes would not close . Construction guy could be seen thur sheer curtain Should have been told about this when booking. Room smelled old
