Not only is Pont Royal a wonderful hotel, the location is terrific. Most city destinations are walkable and Paris is a walking city. All the staff is friendly and accommodating.

I absolutely loved the staff in this hotel. And the view/terrace in the room was very nice. But the property itself feels outdated and the rooms could benefit from new furniture and a bit of a remodel to say the least.

We had an 9 night stay in August 2025. So many reasons to like this hotel, here are the main benefits: 1) Staff was amazing, service at a very high level you rarely see at any hotel, felt like old days. 2) Location is perfect if you are touring sites in Paris. Walkable to most locations, and many transportation options. Neighborhood was wonderful, many restaurants, very Paris. 3) Our room 505 had a small balcony, I would highly recommend if you have weather on your side. It made it extra special in the evenings. 4) Basic infrastructure and amenities were all that you would need. It's a normal EU small room, but provided everything you would want, and the service was great. If we return to Paris this would be our hotel again.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Hotel Pont Royal. As you walk into the hotel, the lobby is warm and inviting. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and the amenities were a plus. We spent a lot of our free time day or night sitting out on our balcony just taking in our views. The morning breakfasts were delicious and I want to point out again the staff were top notch.

I was staying with my elderly mother. First two night power goes out and we had complete darkness at night in our hotel. My elderly mother could not get around in the hotel at night in our suite. The staff told me too bad. I asked for support they brought an electrician the next day and fixed the power, then the next night it went out again after using the coffee maker. The staff once again told me too bad. Me and my elderly mother two nights in a row laid in bed the whole night worried to travel around in the room in the darkness. The staff fixed the electricity again. We did not bother using any of the outlets again in fear of dealing with no power again. We had the largest suite in the room we paid for. That was our experience. The floor smelled like mold and as if there was accumulated moisture and no ventilation. May have been unsafe standards with moist/mold accumulation. The fact that we had no power for two night because of their lack of proper power to support their appliances and then not thinking to support us until the next morning and only support was to fix their problem and not to apologize or make us feel welcome and better about our terrible stay. Will not ever stay here again.

Worth it

From the front desk to the people at the bar the service was impeccable. The hotel may be a little dated but don’t let that shy you away. The rooms were large, the bed was comfy, and the service team was worth it.
