"I didn't like the realm at all it's stunk it was supposed to be a handicapped from far from it the AC heater unit didn't work properly the bathroom door was a sliding door which was stuck. Got the front desk in there they couldn't fix it it was a bathtub not a walk-in shower for handicapped people who can't get in a tub like me the dad was not helpful it was too hard and high we booked the room for 2 days and left after first day could not get a refund"
"We were not warned that the place was being remodeled. The rooms were not set up as advertised do to the remodel. The pool was a patio. Location was so so. It is a working man's weekly hotel. The food area had a B rate from the state. Overall not horrible but...I will say management did try making the place look good. The staff was excellent."
"We reserved a double room. Upon assignment it was found 1/2 cleaned. There were no sheets on the beds, no towels, & the floors were dirty, so they reassigned us quickly to a king/twin room. That room was clean & just as pictured online. It would be a great place for a peaceful weekend stay. The surroundings are serene.
The walkways can be tricky, as can be the steps, due to the age of the property. Keep this in mind if there are stability concerns."
"Room was clean and quiet overnight with comfy bed. Torn carpet in 1 area of room.
Breakfast—good if you don’t have a gluten allergy. Would appreciate if egg, potato and sausage was labeled and a choice of cereal was Cherrios or Rice Chex, since both are gluten free."
"We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Maple Hill is a piece of living history and it was a privilege to stay there. The owners are excellent stewards of this absolute gem. Our room was huge and very comfortable. Every detail in the house is stunning. We took time to look at everything inside and outside so that we could absorb the beauty of the home and property. And the breakfast was BETTER than a restaurant! Getting dessert in the evening was such a lovely treat and a romantic way to end the day. ❤️"
"Everything was clean, well decorated. The rooftop hot tub was a little more public than we were hoping for but once it got dark out it was fine.
It wasn't a big deal to have to strip the bed, start the dishwasher, and take the garbage out to the dumpster, but for the price paid you'd think that would be included...or at the bare minimum this requirement should be listed BEFORE booking, rather than in the list of rules/requirements you receive after booking.
That said my wife and I had a great time and would definitely stay here again."
