"Beautiful little gem up in the mountains with a beautiful view. Near a wonderful stretch of beaches but a long rough gravel road so be prepared if you plan to venture out. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We were welcomed with a cocktail. WiFi was solid, breakfast was delicious. We only stayed one night but the pool looked beautiful and inviting. Very lovely spot and quiet and relaxing. Service was impeccable. "

"This is the perfect tranquil place to relax and enjoy both Costa Rican nature and the beauty of the beach and pacific ocean. The atomosphere is quiet, the staff is kind and accommodating, the property grounds are maintained well, the rooms are comfortable. Access to pool and food is convenient. I love the hammocks everywhere to lounge in. The location is close enough to Quepos and Jaco for a day trip to check out the touristy areas but remote enough to get away. "We had a beautiful time at the La Mariposa! The hotel is beautiful with orchids by the pool side and an occasional visit from the monkeys. The outdoor dining was fantastic and the drinks and food were incredible as well. It is nice to be so close to dining and shops and be able to walk."
