"Beautiful place but need to go into it thinking it’s more like an Airbnb. Do
Your shopping before you arrive as there is nothing there. The onsite restaurant is amazing but not open often. No breakfast included even though on booking it says it is. You’ll need to buy essentials like milk, coffee, tea, basically everything food wise but it has its own kitchen and fridge freezer and cutlery etc.
Amazing views
Pool great
Waterfall appreciated !
We booked the jacuzzi room and it was lovely.
Sleep With shutters closed as you’ll hear every dog and cockerel within miles in the valley. It can be peaceful but not from 04:30!!
The air conditioning was welcoming and worked well and was quiet.
There’s alot of flies but we bought a huge can of spray to keep them at bay in the apartment.
The room doesn’t get cleaned daily but that was fine with us as it didn’t need doing.
There is one guy (Jose) who looks after the whole area who speaks no English but very friendly and as helpful as he can be. But I was on WhatsApp with the owner who would relay messages to Jose.
If you walk down into the village square (5mins) there is a wonderful kiosk that does great Tapas etc and the locals frequent it nightly which shows how good it is. You’ll need google translate and it is perfectly Spanish speaking only. We went often as the food was wonderful. The prices were extremely low. All in all, we would definitely go back."
"Incredible spot with amazing views overlooking the mountains! Staff was super helpful and rooms had incredible views. Couldn't think of a better spot to stay if Trevelez is on your list!"
"This property is in the heart of Quadix, Spain. Initially it was hard to find but upon contacting the owner he met us near the property (I drove by it twice) and showed us where to park. He has completely renovated this property built in the 1500s while maintaining its original charm. While he spoke Spanish only ( it is in Spain!) and I clearly should have paid more attention in Spanish class… we communicated successful with our Google Translate app. Breakfast was simple and good and included in our rate. There is a great cathedral very close, some wineries and unique area of home built into caves where 2000 people reside. It is a day trip to Granada and the AlHambra site! I highly recommend staying hear for an experience you probably won’t find in the travel books!"
"What a beatiful hotel! The staff were super helpful, the room was spotlessly clean and comfortable and the pool area was great to relax after a day of hiking.
We are a couple in our 40s who enjoy being outdoors, we found this hotel by chance and absolutely loved it - Im pretty fussy so its a big complement! Its a great location for hiking and exploring the surrounding area and perfect for a digital detox (although they do have wifi) and to relax.
The set menu in the restaurant was great value for money - and very tasty food. We will definitely return when we come back to the area. "
"Check in was fast and efficient, nice warm welcome. We were very tired, arrived in the evening, once we'd freshened up we had a meal in the restaurant, sitting out in front of hotel. Pleasant waiting staff, standard food, large portions.
Clean and comfortable room, two wide twin beds pushed together. The hotel is on the main road, so fairly noisy, but we kept the balcony doors shut and noisy was not a problem. The rooms face east, but there are black out curtains for the morning."
