"For the price paid the accommodation was very good, clean and larger than a Parisian hotel room. Towels were enough including the beach towel. The view is superb from the table in front of the door. "Very nice place on the beach within walking distance to anything you may need. Our rooms were upgraded to the apartment upon arrival. The ladies at the front desk were awesome. Very kind and easy to work with. It is a Very nice and spacious accommodation. We also elected the breakfast and dinner option here. "Das vielseitige, fantasievolle, abwechslungsreiche und superleckere Frühstück, das auf dem Zimmer serviert wurde (vllt weil wir in der Vorsaison da waren). Der große, gut möblierte Balkon. Der sehr zuvorkommende Zimmerservice. Das Spa. Der Pool war noch nicht befüllt Ende März, dafür gab es mehr kostenfreie Spa-Zeit. Die Betten sind sehr gut, das Zimmer, obwohl kleinste Kategorie, sehr groß und mit vollständiger Küche. Alle Menschen waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. "

"We loved our stay at the Blue Elephant. The property itself is lovely, with a lovely pool that has a gorgeous view, the rooms are spacious with everything you need. We had a shared plunge pool and loved it. We never saw our neighbours who we shared it with. The staff were also fantastic, with a special shout out Kostas and Emiliano at the pool restaurant and bar area. Penny at reception was also very helpful. Everyone we encountered was friendly and lovely. There were only a few things on the very small con list and that is while the breakfast buffet was lovely, it was exactly the same everyday, no variarion at all and the milk area was kept out in a fairly warmish area - if they'd put the milk in ice that would be great! But honestly, those were small things. The town of Almyrida is lovely, with everything in walking distance. Lots of great restaurants with friendly and lovely employees. Just note that if you have a mobility impairment there is a fairly steep hill from the main drag to the hotel. It would not be an easy walk to get up. We will definitely be back, it's one of the loveliest hotels we've stayed at."

"The hotel is perfect for a beachy, chilled holiday if that’s what you enjoy. The small town has some shops etc which is good and Chania is only a 30 minute drive away along with Souda which are beautiful towns. Especially the Chania markets! A must go to if you love a bargain! The hotel could be somewhat more clear on what is included etc. The hotel is amazing so don’t let that put you off but we were told the tourist charge was €10 euro per room, per night, which is correct but we were also charged extra and we’re unsure really what that was for. Also we have been twice to this hotel, the first time when booking we had the option available to go all inclusive plus but the second time that option wasn’t available until we arrived at the hotel and it was quite steep compared to the first time we visited the hotel and with not much difference to the basic all inclusive package. After all a gin and tonic is a gin and tonic be that from the local gin or branded big name gin. Overall though, lovely place to stay and the staff are amazing! So helpful and super polite! Will absolutely be back again! "

"Hotel about 1km out of the old centre of town. Hotel is on many levels and has a large swimming pool and several other small ones. Stayed in a superior room with seaview (over the tops of the buildings in front). Room was a nice size although shower room quite small. Tea and coffee making facilities in room including a fridge. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast options are excellent with a wide choice. We used hotel as a base for touring but if you stayed on site plenty to keep you occupied. Car parking is chargeable but the road at the back between the hotel and the 5 star Minos ambassador is quiet, safe and free! There is a fixed menu in the evening for 19€ but if you don’t fancy that there are plenty of good dining options locally especially along the front. There is a supermarket less than 200yds away. I would recommend this hotel."
