Fairfield Inn by Marriott Boston Woburn-Burlington
10/10 Excellent
"Great place to stay near Boston! DJ at the front desk was incredible and was very helpful and accommodating during the early Nor’Easter storm. Staff was friendly and location was great. Only downside is the occasional train passing by, but did not affect the experience overall."
"The room was very clean, quiet, private. The type of retreat I was looking for. Donald at the front desk was extremely kind courteous and knowledgeable. Breakfast was delicious- except that they don’t have the food labeled. I am extremely allergic (just shy of anaphylactic shock type allergic) to red onion- and luckily I looked after they were on my plate but I scooped the cheese scrambled eggs that I was told had peppers and onions in them but I assumed (won’t do that again) that it was yellow onion.. so my only advice was label the food at breakfast haha parking was easy and available and free! The room was very clean but I wish it had a bathtub instead of a stand up shower only. The only thing I didn’t like was that the carpet even with socks felt a tiny bit tacky/sticky to walk on. Overall- 5/5. Would return and would recommend!"
"The room was very clean overall, with hard flooring rather than carpet, which I appreciated. The bathroom mirror appeared to have been overlooked during cleaning, but the rest of the room was clean and well maintained.
If you tend to get cold, I recommend bringing or requesting an extra blanket. The towels were adequate—not plush, but perfectly serviceable. Only the basic number was provided, so women or anyone who prefers separate towels for their hair and body may want to request extras. There was also only one trash can, located outside the bathroom, but it was easy enough to move it into the bathroom when needed.
The hotel was exactly what we needed for a few days in Salem and was only about 20 minutes away. It is beautifully nestled away from traffic and other noise. Because it is an older hotel that has been renovated, soundproofing between rooms is limited. If you are sensitive to noise, I recommend requesting a room without another guest directly above you.
Overall, the property was clean and well maintained, and the staff was exceptionally kind. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely return."
"Unusually pleasant, convenient and peaceful stay! Was perfect for all the medical visits in Boston… express bus is very close…good restaurants within walking distance. Super good hotel staff:-)"
