"The perfect hotel. Lovely, modern, exceptionally clean room with stunning view across the bay - right in the heart of everything but very quiet with the balcony doors closed. Beautiful pool area, with beds and hammocks shaded by olive trees. Tennis, table tennis and basketball. Lovely restaurant with varied lunchtime menu, poolside, plus a well-stocked bar. Quality breakfast. Welcoming, helpful, friendly staff. We loved everything about it and will definitely return."

"What a gem of a find! Casa de l albada is a credit to Karen and Gabriella who provide the most peaceful and comfortable level of accommodation you could hope to find. We stayed for 6 nights and everything was perfect from the amazing views to the beautifully prepared and tasty vegan breakfasts. Karen is such a wonderful host and we enjoyed chatting with her and the other guests over breakfast. Karen is so accommodating and shares her space with guests allowing use of kitchen and communal areas which felt very homely. You will need a car as the villa is on a hill but it only takes minutes to drive into Roses town. I would recommend a stay here for anyone wanting something different from your run of the mill hotel stay. We would hope to return again as this area of Costa brava is well worth exploring more. Thank you for being such hospitable hosts and hope to visit again!"

"Exceptional hotel. Family run and so helpful and welcoming. Original old building full of character and newer rooms around a nice pool area On a hillside on the edge of town with spectacular views over the bay and town Golf buggy on call to take the pain out of the uphill for less strong walkers Beautiful terraces grounds with old pound and olive trees All very tastefully done Good food too!"
