Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Indianapolis East
10/10 Excellent
"The most enjoyable encounter during this stay was our interaction with Michelle, manager of the breakfast cafe. Her service was excellent, and she was pleasant and attentive to our every need. The breakfast was delicious, the area was inviting. We greatly appreciated her service. Check in was good, as well, and check out also. The individuals on duty at the front desk on Friday and Saturday morning were cordial and informed us of everything we needed to know. Even the environmental services attendant we encountered on Friday after was cordial and courteous. Your staff is great."
"Please be very aware of your surroundings when staying here. The female staff member was incredibly rude and unprofessional at checkout. As a solo traveler I didn't feel safe here and barricaded my door at night."
"We flew in Wednesday night, checked in, and headed to our room. On the way to the 2nd floor, the elevator shook so badly it felt like it was having a seizure before stopping. We got to the room around 11pm, just wanting sleep, and found the layout odd—the bed in the middle with a pony wall, a desk on the other side with no chair, and confusing light switches. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, though.
The next morning, the shower was frustrating. The glass didn’t keep water off the bathroom floor, the valve had to be turned all the way hot just to get lukewarm water, and the pressure made it hard to rinse long hair.
Night two, we planned to visit the bar/restaurant, but at 5:50pm it wasn’t open. Oddly, there was a large sign about being courteous and complying with staff or risk removal. Unfortunately, that didn’t seem enforced. At 1:30am we were woken by teenagers running and screaming in the halls. The front desk answered (From my cell because ther phone was broken) but did very little, and the front desk attendant could barely be heard because the parents of those kids were partying in the lobby (loud and obnoxious).
The morning breakfast is not complimentary and had a welcoming notice that said $15 per person & you can only go through the line once.
Needless to say we won’t be staying here again! "
