Charming hotel that reflects a time gone by and a part of Peoria history. Comfortable, classy and very welcoming. Just like the city that has been it's home for decades. Highly re6a stay there and be sure to visit the river front. Will be returning to stay very soon

What I liked most about the property was the overall atmosphere, the layout, and how well-maintained everything was. The property had a comfortable and welcoming feel, and I especially appreciated the features that made it convenient and enjoyable. The room was large, clean and other than the door was extremely difficult to open and close, it was fine. The staff was friendly and helpful other than some of the restaurant staff. It was difficult to get a coffee warm up. The breakfast buffet was okay but was on a par with lesser hotels, except for the omelet bar which was a nice feature.

The pictures look way better than real life. The entire wall of wall paper behind the beds was peeling off, there was waters spots on the ceiling, and the ice machines on both floors I tried did not have water or ice. This property needs some major upgrades. I will say the bathrooms were clean and in great shape.

The front desk staff was extremely polite and helpful! I gave a 3 star only because when asking the housekeeper for a garbage bag, she said she didn’t speak English. As I walked and pointed to what I needed, she replied “one or two? Ok thank you have a good evening “ then she rolled her eyes at me when I was just trying to do HER a favor.

The room was clean and well maintained with the exception of our toilet seat was cracked. No microwave in the room. Also, the breakfast was $20 per person at the on-site restaurant and I was under the impression breakfast was included😕. However, overall a great place to stay. I would visit again.
