"Our stay was disappointing from the moment we arrived. We checked in during the evening when the hotel was not busy, yet we still had to wait several minutes because the front desk receptionist (I believe her name was Debby) was apparently at the gas station on the corner. During that time, the hotel entrance and desk were left completely unattended, which felt unsafe and unprofessional.
Although this is advertised as a smoke-free property, the receptionist was smoking behind the counter, and the smell was overwhelming when we walked in later that evening. She was friendly enough, but the overall experience felt careless.
We were placed in a handicapped room at the end of the hall next to an exit door that slammed constantly all night and early morning, making it difficult to sleep. The room also did not seem properly accessible at all — the sink was too high, the hairdryer was stored on a top shelf, and the grab bars seemed poorly positioned. The room itself was very small.
The morning staff was kind and helpful, but the evening experience overshadowed everything. The bed was extremely hard, the pillows were flat and uncomfortable, and despite booking two months in advance, it felt like we were thrown into a random leftover room."
