Khao Sok River Lodge Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Friendly riverfront hotel at gates of khao sok ntl park. Stilt cabins in lush rainforest settings mean you might walk by monkeys on the way to breakfast. If this is not interesting to you don't stay here. Many restaurants a short walk away and they are all very good food."

Montania Lifestyle Hotel

"A super hard working staff. From breakfast to night walks in, to cleaning rooms, to sewing pillows, same staff. I don’t know how they do it. Thailand is friendly, this staff is extra friendly. They are expanding the property. I am excited to see the finished product. I see a second larger pool, and great little A frame suites. The little cabin type rooms had a great cozy feel and the views are top notch. The bathroom, if the door is closed, can get hot due to the setup. The bed is a little hard for me. The place can feel damp, but it was raining nonstop and it is like a cabin. Past that, a great place to rest between mountain hikes and lake rides. Note air con was great, I just hate overworking the unit for a bathroom with screens and semi fully open windows. The highlight here is the staff and view. Breakfast was free and great"

Lost Horizon Resort - Khao Sok

"What an unforgettable stay. It was our first time in the Surat Thani province and this being our first stop, certainly didn't disappoint. We utilized the resort sending a Van from the airport, but arranged a ride in advance on our own from the resort back to Surat Thani (doable via the many transport apps). The resort is new, opened within the year (2026). And they are still doing finishing touches to the grounds. We leaned into the "experiences" staff to help coordinate some outings. The staff were awesome in ensuring we had everything we might need, dry bag, rain poncho, etc. We did the bamboo rafting to a cave with a guide, and had a choice of tea or coffee made on open fire. (saw a bunch of monkeys and elephant trails). We also did the group Cheow Lan Lake tour with hike to a cave (they are shared between resorts). I would rate the first as a 9/10 experience, the second 7/10. The lake is beautiful, however, the on-lake restaurant and resort on the scheduled experience has seen better days and it's a f-u-l-l day, no budge in scheduling. We also had scheduled a few in-room massages, top notch service. The restaurant and staff, especially Penh(Ben), were always smiling and remembered our preferences. The food was always cooked fresh and full of flavor. We would definitely stay here in the future, no questions. A great place in the jungle to disconnect with beautiful limestone mountains surrounding it, located along the Sok river."

Khaosok River Home Resort

"Considering you’re out in the jungle basically, the rooms are very well maintained and also air conditioned. The staff is very eager to assist and always on hand. Be prepared to arrive with cash because it seems like the credit card reader is not always available and that can be an issue. This is also a remote property so bear in mind you will only have limited access to all amenities during daylight hours. But the staff is lovely and will bend over backwards to help you in any way they can, just have your expectations in line with the location. That being said there is transport available to all the local attractions, and it’s a truly lovely and one of a kind experience that I am sure you will cherish, as I did :)"

"Overall an excellent stay with great helpful staff, great food, and an amazing view! Navigating the incline to the pool is worth it after a long day, but might be challenging for some folk. A little ways away from the main strip with all the bars and easy access to the park, but absolutely worth it for the peace and quiet."
