My family of 4 had a great stay at the Pillar Hotel. It is in a great location, close to every attraction, easy to get a Tuk Tuk or taxi, plenty of restaurants around and 2 blocks from Night Market. The view of the river at night is amazing. The staff is very enthusiastic and accommodating. They even lent us a pocket WiFi when the internet wasn't working. The breakfast included in our rate was very nutritious and had plenty of choices. Will definitely go back there with my family!
Not a single Word of english was spoken in the reception which meant none of our enquiries were met. Our shower gave us Electric shocks because some Electric installation wasnt grounded properly. Our door was not able to be locked which meant we could not All four guys leave the room together. Even though it says breakfast included here on the webpage it was only included for one person the three other Guys had to pay. Kinda feel scammed of paying 40 sgd for one night here...

OK stay
The room was spacious and clean, with a fan and AC. The location was good near lots of restaurants and shops. The room could do with some TLC - the bedding was ripped and stained, and the towels were very thin. We wore earplugs as the traffic and shouting from the street could easily be heard. Breakfast was limited with 3 choices, none of which were great but it was passable. On the last day the toilet broke so it wouldn’t flush. It’s a 10 minute walk to the Giant Ibis bus station which is why we booked it.
Don't 'Book - Fraud - Hotel is closed. I was there at the right place. See the Pillar Sign at the door. The they informed me that the hotel is closed - Check in not possible. Welcome to Cambodia. I had to find at another hotel and had to pay that by my own.
I chose this hotel because it was very close to the Cambodia Post Office VIP Bus, which I had to catch early on the day of check out. However, despite the good photos this hotel is extremely run down. The room smelt damp, had ants, was very dirty and generally the hotel was in bad condition. If they were only charging $8 per night it would be ok but not for the price. A hostel would have been better.

Not a pleasant stay. Not sure whether is because there is some renovation process. The room quite dusty and no working table at all. The light in the corridor is dim on my 1st day. On my last day of stay, encountered power trip during my shower time. Things quite old and the door does not have another safety lock.
Excellent staff, welcoming, nothing to much bother for them, always smiling and chatting trying out there English.
Hotel situated close, to ferry, night market, bus station, walking distance to Royal Palace, bars and restaurants.
Although they are having work done at the hotel it did not spoil our stay there.
Room was cosy
