Hotel missing in action
Arrived to find the hotel was now a gutted building site, the only thing remaining was the signage. Paid for 2 rooms for two nights , not impressed

It was very good. Very friendly staff always eilling to help on comand. It is not a 5 star hotel, but it shouldn't be considering the cheap price for a room. 100% would stay here again.

Clean, conveniently located & efficient. We had to provide our own soap. Towels & sheets were a bit tatty. Staff were confused abt payment method (i.e payment to website NOT cash to them) which was easily resolved after a short discussion

Not Good Hotel
Noisy room and cannot sleep because sound of motorbike and horn can heard loud inside the room. The hotel receiption erea changed to Mini-Super Market with different name. It is harder to find if you are the first time. I feel not safe as there were some guests have disputed in the middle of the night.

I feel conflicted about this review. The staff was nice. The room was adequate. But, there is on BIG drawback. This place is hard to find. It is on a busy thoroughfare. It is not remote. It just does not look like it's pictures. There is no longer a sign with its name. There is no longer a lobby with someone doing the "sampeah". That lobby is now a mini-mart and the front of the building just says "guesthouse". We drove around in circles looking for this place. Even the TukTuk drivers in front of it didn't know it was a guesthouse and the phone number they have posted on Expedia was out of service. Nice people. Fairly nice room (a little pricey for what you get).

Mice roaming around room
My and my girlfriend booked for 2 nights for 1st and 2nd sept due to the price and hotel facilities and amenities listed on hotels.com. However the staff were less than interested when we checked in, our room was very different to the one advertised on hotels.com and the room amenities were also very misleading. We then got moved to a room upstairs which was much bigger yet still no where near the advertised picture claimed. We then had mice running through our room as behind the curtain there is a padlocked exterior door. Both rooms were not cleaned properly with old socks, a condom packet and old nut shells dotted around the room, I also noticed mice dropping near the fridge as I left.

Never go there again
This place is good for rats and cockroaches. It is the filthiest hotel I have ever seen in my life. The entrance is in a dodgy street, while inside the hotel reception there are several motorbikes permanently parked. The rooms are extremely bad with no ventilation, it is old and full of bedbugs and plenty of cockroaches. We requested the caretaker to remove the cockroaches, but he simply gave us a pesticide (mortin)spray, to kill them ourselves. The toilet is pretty old and filthy, along with the owner attaching a notice not to flush any toilet papers down the lavatory. We made several complains to the caretaker but he simply ignored us and pretended he couldn't talk in English.

Absolutely wonderful!
The guesthouse was a wonderful 5 night stay for our family of 4. The owner made it fantastic- the best customer service one could ask for! It is just a 5 minute walk to ther river as well as the palace and night market. Awesome price, awesome location and amazing service. Thank you!

Good location and cheap!
For the price, the room was pretty good. It was large, the beds were fine, and it was in a good location right across from a market and within walking distance or a quick tuk tuk ride from the river. The only complaint was it wasn't vacuumed very well so there were hairs and dust on the floor, as well as ants in the shower. The shower did have hot water, but there was no soap or shampoo provided. They did give us towels though. Another problem was I left my book there and called them the next day to see if they had found it (which they should have if they cleaned the room right after we left) but they said they didn't find the book and weren't really helpful in looking for it. For the price, it's a reasonable place to stay, but don't have really high expectations for cleanliness and service.

I stayed for 2 nights in a 3 person room. Clean bedsheets, good functioning A/C , clean attached bathroom with hot shower and clean water, a small wardrobe, a TV and a mini fridge in the room. The room is also very spacious. The location of the guesthouse is good. Opposite a local market, near Royal Palace, walking distance to riverside along Sisowath Quay, walking distance to Central Market. Local eateries around, bakery nearby, 24 hour mini mart, pharmacies and other various shops. Staff is helpful and friendly. Communication for English speakobg travellers not a problem. Good service with very affordable price.

VERY NICE AND HELPING STAFF. Room half tiled and then had a weird iron bar/prison type door. Bathroom and fridge in separate annex room. Carpeted floor. not that clean. Bathroom didn't appear to have been cleaned, there was what looked like a urine stain on toilet seat.No restaurant .

We had an amazing time, our room was perfect, great view from our balcony. The staff were great, with the perfect arrangements regarding the servicing of your room, when you want it cleaned or need new linen just ask and it was done. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Was perfectly located, within walking distance to Riverside and many other restaurants.....including our favourite Oh My Buddha (formerly Laughing Fat Man), also only a few minutes from Central Market and Royal Palace Would most definately stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone wanting affordable comfortable accommodation.

The location of the hotel is very good near to Royal palace,silver pagoda and riverfront.The staff is good and helpful .The hotel never reply our email as we asked for airport pick-up,which was highlighted on hotel facilities "free airport transport".The hotel doent have lift and everytime you have to take stairs and if your room is at 3rd or 4th floor ,its very tiring .The air-con in the room its not in the good condition and room doesnt have window .The hotel staff help us to book bur bus tickets to Siem reap and i really want to recommend the gaint ibis bus service ,they have a nice buses and good staff .Be careful with the Capitol Tour bus services they the staff there is very nonsense,rude,he promised us to give a big bus and good service but it turned up in local bus and no service at all .

On arrival we found ourselves in need of assistance. The hotel manager went out of his way to assist us, way beyond the normal level expected. Within minutes we were all straight again and it was all thanks to the generous nature of this man.

Perfect for a budget!
The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from the riverfront, which has lots of restaurants and nightlife. It's also steps from the bar district and the Royal Palace. The street with the hotel was a little dirty and sketchy, but it only took about 2 minutes to find greener pastures. The desk staff was helpful in purchasing bus tickets to Siem Reap and were around 24/7. Rooms were typical for a SE Asian guesthouse, with hard beds and combined toilet/showers, but nothing too uncomfortable. All in all, I would stay here again for a short, budget trip.

It's a cheap, relatively clean bed
Overall, it is not a bad place. It is definitely on the older side and the bars on all the windows and doors let you know you are a block or so away from the nicer part of the riverfront. Having said that, it was safe, clean enough, and cheap. It's definitely no frills, but it gets the job done for a night or two. The staff was also very nice and accommodating which made for a decent night's stay.

A functional and basic guesthouse which served its' purpose as a brief overnight stop. No hot water or safe. It's right opposite the Mandalay market which is amazingly vibrant and noisy and it's close to the riverfront so I would score it well on central location.

I was very disappointed with our stay here. The staff member on the reception did not speak a word of English. It was a game of charades to find out the check out time. Our room was not cleaned once in our four night stay here. While it was clean to begin with, we ended up taking down the trash ourselves. When we checked out, the manager said that we should have asked for our room to be cleaned, but how could we given that the staff didn't speak English? The room itself is okay but a little old.

The title above says it all. This guesthouse isn't amazing, but it's perfectly adequate. At the price the size of the room we stayed in was a big perk, as was the perfectly functioning AC. It is located within walking distance of a lot of the major sites (palace, museum, etc.) and only two blocks from the riverside with its tourist-friendly dining. For our budget, the market across the street is a perfect place for cheap and delicious breakfast. Yum! The srevice depended on who was on duty. The man at the front desk who seemed in charge was great and helped us get onward bus tix. The other boy who covered when he was gone spoke almost no English and was pretty odd besides. It all worked out though, and we had a nice stay in PP.

Definitely worth the price, this centrally located hotel served me well. Easy access to food, sights, transports, etc. Room was large, bright, comfortable with really good, free wifi reception. No elevator, like most of Cambodia but good exercise. Book if you're thinking about it.

This hotel was perfectly situated for my three-night stay. Easy everything. The room was basic, comfortable, well-priced. Staff friendly and helpful. WiFi and laundry service available. Just know that there are no elevators in this hotel.

Pleasantly surprised.
I booked this hotel upon my return to Ho Chi Minh because the hotel I previously used was not available. What a nice surprise this hotel turned out to be. Although the room and bathroom were smaller than the other hotel, I still felt comfortable enough to extend my stay. The hotel is perfectly situated in the popular tourist area of District 1 but managed to maintain a workable distance from the backpacker/tourist frenzy. One could walk to many of the popular tourist attractions. The hotel offers free wifi and breakfast which served its purpose of helping me get my day started. Staff were sometimes distracted but efficient once their attention was secured. I will certainly consider staying here again upon my return to Ho Chi Minh in about a week.

I think that if you're not going to spend a whole lot of time in the hotel room, then this is a good hotel to stay at. The location is right around all the touristy spots and hence well located. You can walk to the river and to the palace as well. There's plenty to see and do. The best thing about the hotel is the management and the people, I really like Bonah, always attentive, very helpful and had good english so communication was not an issue. I had a double room with no windows. Not having windows really stinks, You can wake up at noon and it still feels like 3am. The internet wasn't too bad, reliable enough, I didn't have any issues there. The power did go out a few times, but I think that's prevelant in all the hotels in the area.

The hotel is 2 blocks from the river front and across from the market. It has very large rooms, at least the one they gave me. I was on the 3 rd floor and no elevators, that is the only compliant I have of the hotel. I would stay here again.

First thing is the staff bent over backwards to help and advise, always pausing what they were doing to interact. Nothing was too much for them! The location was fantastic, have access to all the main tourist spots, and anything a bit further afield is easy to get to with the amount of tuk tuk's around all the time. The room was good, TV, Fridge, and large shower/bathroom.

Convenient location in Phnom Penh
I only stayed one night, quick trip to Phnom Penh. The hotel is fairly new, very clean, great staff, and superb location, right next to the large "local" market and just 2 blocks from the river promenade where there are may cafes, restaurants, and clean and safe place to walk endlessly. Also the hotel was very close to the National Museum, the Royal Palace, and the Silver Pagoda. All in all, a great place to stay.
