"It’s a beautiful small property with a very cool design. Fairly rustic though and with a bit of a farmhouse feel and therefore maybe not for everyone. Managers and owners Giacomo and Paola are both fantastic. Giacomo in particular was a superstar, passionately speaking about the wines of the winery and the region, giving us great restaurant recommendations and really going above and beyond with a smile. "Very nice, new, modern and clean apartment. Very quiet. Comfortable mattress, small common kitchen with a nice terrace. Dedicated parking, guarded by a gate. Nice and very responsive contact with the host. Good base for hiking in the Etna region, with Etna south and north each 20 to 30 minutes away by car. "

"Perfect location 30 mins drive from SouthEast side of mount Etna, perfect for relaxing evening after a day of hiking. Parking included. We were surprised to find multiple good local restaurants within 20 mins of walking even if this small town (Milo) for dinner. Staff exceptionally friendly. Rooms are renovated but the kitchen/living room is not; think old country house setting. We did not plan on hanging out in the common areas therefore did not affect us. "An excellent property. Stunning architecture & grounds. Truly family run. Very hospitable, welcoming & accommodating. We stayed for close proximity to Mr Etna & wineries. The food is farm to table - mostly made by ‘mama’. Gorgeous pool. Our only complaint is we should have booked longer. Many thanks to Sara & family. "

"If I could give La Cavenera Etnae more than 5* I would. We stayed here for one night for my 30th birthday and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We did the Eruption wine tasting and Roberto was so knowledgeable and exciting to listen to. I had the fish menu and my partner the meat and both options were absolutely incredible. The facilities are beautiful, the pool and vineyard walks are so peaceful and relaxing. The room was super comfortable and clean. We will definitely come back!"
