"Lovely hosts, room was nice, spacious and good to have a living area rather than just a bed to lay on. Breakfast was incredible, best I have had (I've had a few!)."

"Started with a booking issue via Expedia (small double rather than a king-sized bed booked) but resolved directly with the Hosts. Great location, opposite the park and lovely, solid furniture in the room. Parking permits available in the property for a small fee worked well. Just the shower could do with an update. If we visit again, I'd book a room with a bath."

"Overall not bad. The hotel itself is old and in need of some tlc. We reported some minor maintenance issues at check out. The breakfast food was okay, your usual fried breakfast, cereal, yoghurt and on Sunday morning there was croissants. The entertainment was however surprisingly impressive, each night from 6-late there was bingo, quiz, children's entertainment and live artists. There are several bars within the hotel so you can choose to sit in the lively area or in a quieter space. The views from this hotel are spectacular (for Scarborough). You can sit out on the terrace with a drink and watch the sun set if you choose. The rooms were generally clean, no complaints, I've stayed in worse. There's no Aircon but each room has a fan and the windows open. I mostly love that this hotel is dog friendly, we usually opt for a caravan so our dog can join us so this was a nice change, however dogs aren't allowed in the restaurant but there is a secure green out front for toileting. The location is excellent pub, beaches, shops and restaurants on the doorstep. Staff were friendly and helpful always."
"Not a 4 start hotel, more like 2. Bathroom was damp and had hair on the floor. The whole room dingy. Noise from cars outside. Reception at the pub across. Lovely stuff I must admit. Expensive for what it is so won't go there again."
"We do love this hotel but this time we had a guest join us in the bar for a drink. He uses a disabled scooter; we realised how poor the hotel is for disabled guests - the lift was broken from outside so we had to fiddle ourselves to fix it. The disabled toilet is upstairs but the lifts said no scooters allowed. This is obviously a real problem for disabled guests.
Honestly, lovely hotel, great staff but needs a few tweaks."
