"Melrose villas is tucked away off the main road but still within walking distance / short tuk tuk ride away from village. Rooms are simple and it may take a while to find right temperature for the shower. But what really stands out is their great service, simple but freshly made meals and view of Sigiriya Rock in the distance. "

"The stay at Sigiriya Village was the highlight of our Sri Lanka visit. Design by Bawa, a famous architectural family, the grounds and facilities are stunning. Entering the space, we felt instantly calm. The staff was so kind and helpful. There were elegant and beautiful massage facilities and I strongly recommend a massage. The food was delicious, the setting perfect, looking at the Lion Rock. "

"Most amazing hotel stay i’ve ever had! The staff is so helpful and accommodating. They arranged our spa and night safari excursions as well as being available to drive us where we needed. They really made this stay unforgettable and we’re truly so thankful for how comfortable they made us feel. It felt like they really cared about us enjoying our time in Sigiriya
The breakfast was delicious, and made with so much care and attention. I really could not recommend this place enough, thank you hungry lion!! What a great place to start our honeymoon with!"

"We had an excellent stay at this hotel. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the staff were consistently helpful and friendly, making us feel very well looked after. The swimming pool was a great —perfect for a refreshing dip after climbing Sigiriya Rock. The hotel is in a slightly isolated location, but this wasn’t an issue for us and actually added to the peaceful atmosphere."
