It was not a standard Double Tree. The mattress was worn out, and the building is old and odd, with long walks and worn-out doors. The broken shower head was held with a cable tie (no joke). The towels were clean, and the people were nice. It was not my normal experience with DoubleTree; this one was poor. I'd give it 3.5 stars.

Everything was pretty good. There were a few bugs that I had to kill and for the first few hours I had no keys to my room and had to be let in by a staff member anytime I left which was inconvenient but I don’t think that was necessarily the hotels fault as there was a storm earlier that messed up some of their systems.

Looks like they might be doing construction due storage containers in their parking lot. But that being said I would stay at this location again. The bed was very comfortable and check was a breeze. We only stayed one night so didn’t try out the restaurant or amenities. They should think about offering a shuttle to the Casino. And I was offered a chocolate chip cookie like advertised.

The staff was excellent and helpful. When the heat in our suitedidn't work, a staff member responded promptly and fixed the problem. The trouble with the DoubleTree is that it tries to be a 5-star hotel, but the parking lot is terrible, the breakfast food was late and cold, and unit furniture and carpeting was very old an doutdated; not near enough electrical outlets. It's a good 4 star.
