"This was a lovely stay. The owners were very welcoming and happy to give ideas of what to do etc. the room was spacious and well decorated. Swimming pool is always welcome and the outdoor area was a lovely space for breakfast. Only issue for me was the parking as space is limited and my hire car was not easy to manoeuvre! Sete is a busy town in the Summer but with 12 Kim’s of beach it was easy to find a quiet area"

The location is perfect as it is close enough to everything but yet quiet.Only 1 little minus :It would have been nice to have an elevator to drag the luggage 2 floors up. "Everything very good. Most of staff were very helpful and it was helpful that some spoke English, although we didn't expect that as we were in France and, out of curtesy, we believed that we should attempt speaking French. Activities were free eg. crazy golf, tennis etc. The restaurant on site was for all-inclusive guests only, so we couldn't eat there. "My first room had a horrible smell. I was told they have it when it is windy. Too bad there is always wind in Sete. I had to argue to change it to another room. I was given a lower category room so the no offer to compensation. In the new room the sink did not drain. There was no hot water in the morning for the shower. No excuse offered. Seemed business as usual. Never again."

BEDBUGS BEDBUGS and hotel was aware

"BEDBUGS!!!! Hotel was very aware of this bedbug issue, yet guest are welcome. I stayed in Italy at BnB, which was fabulous, so this was our second try, now we know , never again! Front desk girl kind of interrogated us in so many words: if we traveled by train… We travel by my own car!!! Stayed in great, clean hotels!!! "

"Comfortable, spacious and quiet room. The hotel is on a side street off of a very attractive plaza called Place Victor Hugo. This is an older building and it shows to some degree, but was very clean and the breakfast room was particularly nicely decorated. Staff was accommodating and helpful. The parking garage under the plaza is very new and has extra-wide parking spaces. The area is very walkable and picturesque, with pleasure boats lining the canals. If you're a fan of the TV series Candice Renoir, you'll find the building that was used as the set for the police station only a couple of blocks away."

"We stayed at the Hotel Port-Marine with extended family, 6 of us. The hotel exceeded our expectations: perfect location on the port of Sète, close to a plethora of restaurant and shopping, its own parking space (which would have been a nightmare without, especially during the heart of the French summer vacations), a short walk from a deep in the Mediterranean. Staff is very friendly, helpful, and professional. Rooms are clean, functional, and all you need for a vacation stay / resort town. Breakfast buffet is copious and varied, in a large room with a fantastic view of the Mediterranean sea. Will return for sure. "

"Nice that they offer breakfast included on Expedia. The area around the hotel isn’t posh but we didn’t observe any criminality. Excellent security inside the hotel and parking was secure and affordable at 2€ per day. Oddly, the thermostat in our room was connected backwards - we had to put it to ‘heat’ to get a/c and had to turn it warmer to make it colder. "
