It is a a tough drive on gravel would recommend a 4 wheel drive with good tires. We had a small car and had to go very slow. There is three creeks that need to be crossed we were okay because it is the dry hot season."

"Hung up in unbelievable traffic in Santa Cruz, I was not able to check into the hotel until 7 AM the next day when they reopened. So I don't have the overnight experience one expects.
That said, the room was very clean, the shower had good hot water, and I did get a morning nap on the bed. Fort7nately, it is off the road a bit. But noise carries and young Costa Ricans love their motorcycles. So if you are super noise sensitive that might bother you, but the traffic is really light on that...

"Great location at Samara. We had booked a room with balcony looking out to the street not realizing it’s a busy street. We got upgraded to a bigger room with pool view without any request. We appreciated that very much as e were tired that day. The ac in the room worked excellent, the room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Parking is across the street. We only stayed one night so did not get the a chance to try the restaurant, which looked great but can’t actually rate as we decided to try another restaurant in the town. "

The bedding was comfortable and immaculately clean. This Italian owner created a hideaway for travelers to relax, enjoy and feel warmth, comfort, and the true essence of Costa Rica’s Pura Vida. The exotic foliage surrounds the pool and the pool tile and design replicates a Roman bath. The presentation at breakfast was at least 6 star Michelin rating. The attention to detail, the attentive, kind, cheerful, and accommodating staff, address all of your needs. There is even a library balcony for one to read and watch the sunset. The absolute relaxation one feels while staying in this hotel reminds us all to enjoy and appreciate others and enjoy the beauty of the environment and our surroundings. We will be back!"
