"We chose this hotel because it wasn't in the city (Palma). Though a 30-minute drive from the airport, it was well worth it. The property is beautiful. The rooms are very well designed and the pool was a refreshing welcome. Very peaceful. And it's a short drive to some of the most beautiful beaches (highly recommend Mondrago Natural Park). "A bit of a strange experience when spending £250 for the night. No staff to great you and explain how everything works and nothing in the room either not even a bottle of water. Just a text message with door code and key left in an envelope. The street and those surrounding were very quiet. "Nice modern and very clean apartment. The breakfast and diner buffet was a really good value. There are so many interesting choices of restaurants at the marina a few blocks away.
My son lived the swimming pools, however most of the area is about 160 cm deep.
The location was further from my favourite beaches however close to the beach next to the port.
Very close to the boardwalk for an evening walk. Still close to everything in town as it takes at most 20 minutes to reach the furthest shoreline.
The people at the reception are incredible. They also recommend a catamaran excursion which was a wonderful experience. I got to see the beautiful surrounding shorelines and beaches and swam in clear turquoise water. "
"Wow - where to start? We had the most amazing stay at Universal Hotel Marques. First of all the location is unbelievable: the only hotel in Colonia de Sant Jordi with this prime location: sea on three sides, and the last hotel before the start of the beach (Es Coto public beach which is part of the bay with the stunning Es Trenc beach). You cannot beat this location.
We had a sea view room on floor 1 which overlooked the pool and then the sea - so stunning, plus private sun loungers as well as table and chairs on our large balcony.
The hotel have thought of everything: free wifi, free cold water refill stations throughout the hotel and so many hooks in the rooms (so necessary to avoid tossing clothes on the bed, there were hooks everywhere).
Next the food: we stayed half board and the buffet was excellent! At least 25 dishes plus show cooking fresh food at breakfast (omelettes) and dinner (fish/meat). The dinner food included pates, fruits, salads (change daily), fish, meat, lasagne, pizza, pasta, paella, chips, potatoes, cooked vegetables, soup and multiple desserts. The bar drinks were also very good and strong and we received welcome drinks our first night. The best thing about the bar is outdoor seating that wraps around the hotel for sea and beach views - stunning!
