The bathroom, often an overlooked detail in beachside properties, was equally impressive: spacious, well-appointed, and more than comfortable for two. Beyond the room, the property itself truly excels. Every meal was exceptional, with food that consistently impressed and cocktails that were as thoughtful as they were well-executed. Happy hour never felt like an afterthought, but rather a daily highlight. Service throughout the property was excellent, with special recognition owed to John, whose attentiveness, warmth, and deep local knowledge elevated the entire stay. His recommendations around the town of Máncora—from dining spots to nightlife—were spot-on and added a meaningful layer of authenticity to the experience. Brian also deserves mention for his consistently great service at both meals and poolside. The pool area embodies the relaxed sophistication Qema aims for: ample shaded loungers, a laid-back atmosphere, and perfectly curated chill-vibe music that sets the tone for effortless afternoons by the water. "The staff was amazing at this property - always attentive and able to answer questions and provide what we needed. The rooms and property were very clean and peaceful. Everything is exactly as pictured in the photos. We enjoyed a ceviche class one night and they set up a bonfire for us on the beach another night - both excellent and well thought-out. The staff in the dining room and bar are so friendly and helpful and always available! The breakfast was excellent, we loved the juices and bread and multiple options. My kids loved the duck rice! The only thing to note is that we rented a car and arrived very late at night, and the turn off the main road to the hotel is through a gate down a very dark, dirt road. It would’ve been nice to know that if you’re arriving at night! The surrounding towns are very small, but we found good food options nearby. We loved our quiet stay at Norte!"
