"We stayed a week at Corcovado & Drake Inn. The room was excellent. The pool was a great in the afternoon/evening after a day of adventuring. Sol at the front desk was amazingly helpful and patient in arranging tours and getting our breakfast orders. Robin who handled our breakfast was a friendly start of the day and also great at giving off the beaten track recommendations for activities. I definitely recommend Drake Inn."

"Was exactly what we needed for the circumstance. Inexpensive overnight spot to sleep, so as to be ready for snorkeling tour the next morning, along with a bonus view of the ocean. Staff super accommodating on holding on to our luggage after check out. Some unique notes: - Getting to the area def needs all-wheel drive - Meals aren't included, but can be purchased if ordered in advance - No front desk check-in/check-out (noted in the description), just need to communicate with the staff over the app or Whatsapp - Very flexible staff"

"We were upgraded to a very nice room overlooking the beach. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our stay included breakfast and dinner- excellent food. Drake Bay is a remote area so it was nice to have everything provided by the hotel. When we took a day tour to Corcovado National Park, the boat picked us up at the beach in front of the hotel. "

"Luna Lodge is a simply remarkable place to be and not just explore, but join, the jungle. There’s a sense of beautiful surrender found there, beginning with the trek to the lodge itself. I don’t realize what a special place I had booked until we arrived. I had a 4x4 and loved the adventure of crossing (small) rivers and rocks as we traversed the path to Luna’s remote location. The property is a little paradise. It overlooks pure jungle with all the animals that can be spotted at Corcovado. The tours and guides are amazing - l loved how passionate and knowledgeable Mauro was about the wildlife, and it’s so nice to depart directly from the lodge. Our sleeping quarters was comfortable as well - we chose a tent which was a wonderful way to be in touch with nature. We were there in March, and the fan provided plenty of air. After a day exploring, it was nice to sleep under the stars in a natural setting. You can tell that Luna was built with a lot of love. Everything is thought out and beautiful, including the food. This was the best part of our trip and we cannot wait to return. "

"Hotel Margarita had an amazing vibe, it was blending with nature perfectly. Our room has a nice glass wall facing trees and forests. Every morning a very handsome woodpecker would come and curiously check us, it was really unique. The pool was nice, the staff was super polite and helpful, breakfast was nice and quite filling (fruits, coffee and juice on top of your main option.). The only main disadvantage was the cleanness of our room. We found hair in the pillows and bed sheets which made us believe it is from the previous people. We asked the first day to have our linens changed, and we found again hair over them. This made us a bit sceptical of the cleanness, plus the bathroom mirror had dorst stamps when we entered. The bathroom also had what looked like a water leakage from the bathtub to the floor, which was giving an unpleasant odour in the bathroom in the morning. If these things were fixed, it would really be 5/5, a real paradise experience!!"

"We were prepared for no hot water, no AC, no cell service, but we were not prepared for the overall shady communication, vibes and charges. We booked this hotel to be close to Corcovado, and booked a tour with the hotel. When we asked for details, they said they said that the communication from Expedia was poor, and they only booked our snorkeling tour. We asked to cancel the snorkeling because the national park was our priority. She said they couldn't because they already bought the tickets. Turns out, it was their family member that lived on property that ran the tour. This made her so upset that she went out of her way to make us uncomfortable the entire stay. Very immature. She was the daughter of the owner. They also tried to charge us for the stay, even though we paid Expedia 3 weeks before. I had to pull up my receipt and credit card transaction to prove we already paid. She still wanted us to pay, but eventually said "Expedia always holds back the payment for a month". So they were just hoping we forgot? Also, two men walked onto our private porch and stole my husband's sunglasses. He was afraid to say something to them, but we saw them later and they looked affiliated with the hotel. They saw the boat off when we left. Would not recommend. Breakfast was also poor, but the other meals were pretty good. Restaurant staff were super nice."

"We stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. All of the lodge buildings are very sympathetically designed, and blend well with the surroundings. Everywhere is very clean and maintained to a high standard. We loved sitting on the bar stools and watching the monkeys and morpho butterflies. All staff were polite, friendly and helpful, and assisted us with booking excursions. The food was very tasty and beautifully presented, as were the cocktails! We loved the quirky bed in our cabin, and enjoyed sitting on the veranda and watching all the wildlife in the creek below - juvenile caimans, turtles, lizards, dragonflies, and my absolute favourites - hummingbirds. Listening to the orchestra of sounds at night was at night was fantastic! We did a night walk and we're amazed at our guide's knowledge, enthusiasm, and ability to spot creatures that we would never have seen without him! The trails within the grounds are easy to follow, and there is so much to see - including the resident sloth - ask the staff and they will point him out to you. I was thrilled to see so many hummingbirds. Danta Corcovado Lodge is a great place, and all staff work hard to ensure that guests are well looked after and enjoy their stay."

"The staff was very nice. We did end up having to leave early due to a family emergency but it was a beautiful place. "
