We enjoyed the sunrise and the fullmoon, walked on the beach at night. The room is few minutes walk from the center of the town throughout nice sidewalks, close by was our favorite restaurant Pura Vida. And the boat service was great leaving us right to the hote frontl and picking us up there. "

"Brilliant hotel in a great beach-front location. The room was very large and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was very good. "We had a wonderful stay at Miss Junies. It was well located near to town but had the secluded nature at the end of the village. The sea on one side and the river on the other. The character of the building was amazing with beautiful gardens all around, we saw many different birds and animals. They also had a great pool to swim in.The food we had for breakfast and dinner was delicious. We really enjoyed the two tours we did there the turtle nesting and canoe trip of the canals. They were very informative and genuinely seemed interested and concerned with nature and conservation."

"Tortuga Lodge was an amazing stay. The staff was incredibly friendly. The tours available were fun, informative, and worth it! The staff was very helpful in helping us schedule our tours. Definitely recommend. A quick note. Transportation by boat is very difficult after hours. While the staff was able to connect us with a private transfer, it took alot of communication. "

"The staff is very nice. Book some tours through their partner agency because they have friendly and knowledgeable guides. A few friendly cats in the area, buy some whiskers from the grocery store and make some friends. Sloths in the tree outside. The beach is a few feet away if that’s your thing as well, very shallow water but a refreshing dip. The jungle park is just down the street, 6km out and back close to the beach with some good wildlife. Friendly locals, probably a bit crowded during busy season, but all good vibes. There are a lot of cafes and restaurants but they all have similar menus, not the greatest cuisine but good enough. "
