"As others have said the stairs were a killer - but it was so worth it for the amazing views (from two terraces). The property was huge and with loads of interesting features (including a canon and seagulls hanging from the ceiling). It was a fabulous place to just ‘be’ and spend time relaxing. There were a few bits in need to repair (including one of the banisters, which was very wobbly) but that’s a minor quibble in an otherwise lovely stay."

"We had the most wonderful stay at the Akanthos Villa. Our host, George, was welcoming, communicative, and kind; he made sure that we were comfortable and well taken care of. The villa itself is very beautiful and quiet, located just a 5-minute walk from the main port. A charming and spacious historical home which was perfect for our family during our Easter holiday. "Stunning location, with beautiful crystal clear water for swimming right in front of the hotel. Little town of Poros a 10 minute taxi ride. We planned to go to other beaches around the island but the setting at the hotel was so lovely we only left for dinner in Poros town which has some nice restaurants."
