"I recently stayed at Camelback Resort and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. Parking was a nightmare — I spent way too much time driving around in circles just trying to find a spot. It really set a negative tone right from the start. Check-in was just as frustrating. Our check-in time was 4 PM, but our room wasn’t ready until about an hour later. After a long drive, that kind of delay is unacceptable. To make matters worse, one of the dining locations had run out of most of their food options and was only serving pizza and salad. For a resort, I expected much better planning and variety. Overall, between the parking issues, delayed check-in, and limited food options, this was not a good experience. I would not return."

"Room was adequate but very old, bathroom food didn’t close, AC and heating was temperamental. We have been staying at Split Rock for more than 20 years now and they need to invest a bit more into the facility. On the upside, the pool is still good, common areas are maintained and gym is newly renovated and with all new equipment. "

"Clean, quiet, and comfortable. We had a relaxing night at the baymont with our dog. We enjoyed music bingo and drinks in the lounge. Staff were friendly and welcoming. If you’re a light sleeper ask for a room that isn’t on the side of the building closest to the road, a lot of commercial traffic. It didn’t bother us however. Would definitely stay at this location again as they are pet friendly, with a reasonable pet fee ($20) where other hotels in the area charge $50-75. Grassy areas around the hotel to walk your pet were a plus. No complaints, fair pricing, clean rooms, was exactly what we needed it to be for a 1 night stay. Some of the reviews worried me, but upon checking in I felt they were a bit overstated. It’s certainly an older hotel, the fixtures in the bathrooms were a bit dated, but we were not staying there for aesthetics, and for the price point your expectations should be reasonable. Don’t let the negative reviews scare you if you’re thinking of booking here, everything was in working order, beds were comfy, rooms were clean. We will definitely be back as we are planning a wedding in the area frequently over the next year or so. "
