There were so many things to like but the most import is the quality of service led by Asha the manager. Although the hotel maybe listed as a 4 Star you will definitely get 5 star accommodations and superb service

Nice hotel, terrible buffet.

The hotel was good, rooms were sufficient and clean. The hotel is small but with a nice atmosphere. Note the the pool is not heated so it is very cold in the winter time. Although you can swim in the sea, it is not very deep and has some rocks. The most disappointing we’re the buffets. The food was terrible and not much variation. We complained and they tried to accommodate us by giving us a set menu but in the end it is the same chef and although a little better not up to the standard that we normally get at other hotels we stay in.

We have just returned from a wonderful 9 days staying in a Privilege Room at Veranda Pointe aux Biches. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful; in particular Sonita one of the security guards, Shabeer and Stacy in the Sandy Lane restaurant, the wonderful massage team, and our incredible cleaner Lutchmee who went well above and beyond to make our stay so comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a mix of cold and hot options - the freshly cooked omelettes were especially good. The entertainment staff were fab, and there was a good mix of activities on offer for free. We thoroughly enjoyed the cooking class for instance, and hired bikes to cycle to the Botanical Gardens. The beach area is incredibly well maintained and exceptionally safe with a security guard there all day. Our room was fabulous and very well maintained. All in all, we had the most wonderful trip and hope to be back to enjoy the spectacular Mauritian hospitality again soon.

A gem on the North West corner of Mauritius

The look of Veranda Pointe aux Biches, with the thatched roofs, was what attracted us to this resort. It didn't disappoint as you can see from the photos. Right from the start, the staff were very attentive to your needs. A good introduction to the resort by the front desk staff and a walk around the resort explaining various daily and weekly events. All the staff were super helpful and very welcoming and sociable. Special mention to Rodnay and Harel on the restaurant side. It's clear to see why Rodnay is one of the managers with great attention to detail. You didn't have to ask for refills with Rodnay on shift as he seemed to have a sixth sense, plus a great sense of humour. Akshay, Marie and Sara on bar duties at the Lazy Pool Bar. Ranee, our room service maid, who entertained us with a different towel sculpture every day, really cute! Asha, Nitesh and Sacha on the management staff who guided us, upgraded our room for our 30th wedding anniversary and recommended local trips to take advantage of. Thanks to Sacha for the upgrade from Comfort to Privilege, with a great view down to the lazy pool and the beach. Made our holiday so much more enjoyable. Last mention for the superb Transit Room, the best we have experienced. Our departing flight was at 21:25, so we enjoyed the hotel amenities all day. The Transit Room allows guests to take a shower, change and prepare for travel. Well done, because this was done in great style. Only neg, having to sign every time

Honestly, there’s a star or two too much in play here, the hotel itself is, at best, very average. But, location wise, with the view, sunsets etc it obviously great. Also, the buildings, area surrounding inside complex also nice. Room was ok’ish. But cramped, and dead hard beds, also ant issue in bathroom in particular, but fair enough. Most of the staff friendly, but a couple of divas, especially in reception, which really the place could do without. Food was below par. We time and time again experienced breakfast not being stocked up, even before 9am, which really is unheard of, seeing breakfast ends 10am. We only had one dinner in restaurant, really because it was bad. Had some lunches, none of which very memorable, more because there wasn’t too many options nearby. Selection not as you should expect either. All in all, nice place, but plenty to work with, especially staff wise and food wise. And yes, there’s at least one star too many on that hotel logo…

À notre arrivée à l'hôtel nous avions eu une chambre privilège dans la partie Adult Only mais elle était proche de la route, pas sécurisante du tout et surtout remplie de poussières, pour un premier aperçu décevant.. Nous avons donc demandé à changer de chambre et se rapprocher de la piscine ce qui a été fait quelques heures après et on s'est tout de suite senti mieux. Le diner est très bon et copieux au restaurant réservé aux personnes en chambre privilège mais un peu décevant dans le restaurant principal car buffet peu varié que ce soit au petit-déjeuner ou au diner, on se croirait à la cantine. Les parties extérieures de l'hôtel sont bien entretenues et très chaleureuses (piscines, restaurant,...). Le personnel est au top et aux petits soins !! Le spa très bien. L'hôtel reste beau mais plus digne d'un 4 étoiles mauricien actuel, mais plutôt d'un 3 étoiles.. ou peut-être aurait-il besoin d'un rafraichissement (chambres et restaurant principal) afin de faire honneur à ses étoiles, à la notoriété des hôtels mauriciens et à un rapport qualité-prix plus attractif/avantageux.

Came with the family for UK half term to get some winter sun and we all loved the place! Great boutique hotel - simple but perfect room for the 5 of us to stay in - lovely grounds and pool - and right on its own beach with sun loungers and sun sofas overlooking the crystal clear waters. Would definitely return.

Das längere Warten zu buchen hat sich gelohnt. Preise variierten immer wieder. Tolles Hotel, in dem wir (Mutter & Tochter) uns immer willkommen fühlten. Sauberes Zimmer, saubere Anlage (bis auf wenige Ausnahmen), das Essen ist abwechslungsreich, große, all inclusive Getränkekarte, Wi-Fi selbst am Strand. Weiteres konnte auf Nachfragen arrangiert werden. Pool ist ok, vllt etwas klein, aber wir waren eh nur am Strand. Da der an einer Lagune liegt, ist das Wasser nicht so klar, aber durchaus zum Schnorcheln geeignet. Mit dem Shuttle oder zu Fuß erreicht man aber nach einigen Minuten einen öffentlichen Strand mit mehr Schnochelmöglichkeiten. Den Hotel-Fahrservice vom/zum Flughafen haben wir nicht genutzt Suntranfers bzw. Mauritours kann ich nur empfehlen, auch für "abgesicherte" Ausflüge. Alles in allem ein wunderbarer Urlaub!

Hotel sympathique pour les familles mais sans plus pour les couples Points positifs; Le service est tres bien, les installations sont correctes et l'emplacement aussi Points negatifs; La plage....on ne vient pas d'Europe pour une plage pareille alors qu'il y en a des paradisiaques a quelques km de l'hôtel En résumé, en famille hotel tres bien si la plage n'est pas une prioritée ou si vous etes vehiculé

Das Hotel ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, z.B. Türen können teilweise nicht mehr richtig geschlossen werden. Das Buffet ist ok aber nicht mehr, es gibt sehr oft das gleiche und keine grosse Auswahl für Vegetarier.
