"What a fantastic treehouse surprise! Absolutely beautiful and truly in the forest but steps away from a lovely sauna and hot tub, and the nicest host even has four laying hens! The route we took included some 1-2km twisty dirt road and felt like a real adventure. We stayed here for a romantic birthday two night stay while taking an excellent blacksmithing course at nearby Vans Blacksmithing in Hawkesbury, and stayed another day for open forge time. Will definitely come again! Nice extra touch-...

"The room was nice. The bed was super comfy and made for a great night sleep. The drain in the shower was plugged meaning water was draining very slowly. There was some wear and tear on the room, and could use a little work. But for a place to sleep it was perfect. It’s in a quiet area. Not much around the hotel it’s self but the town down the road has a few options for dining, groceries, etc. the scenery going to and from the hotel was beautiful. If you are trying to get to Montreal via Uber it will be difficult and you more than likely end up taking the more expensive taxi. Overall I would stay here again, if I didn’t plan to go to Montreal every day."

"The hotel is look like a hollywood set movie.
Those places where you see Julia Roberts in a movie. Even James, the owner, is a very handsome man and could act as the couple of Julia Roberts.
Of all the hotels we have been to in the world, we were lucky enough to know this one, which is so special that it makes you want to come only to stay in it.
It has a special charm in which each environment reflects a corner of art, at its best.
James is present and is very attentive to all needs, just like his wife.
He should have more hotels like this, and promote to other hotel owners are like him.
You wont regret it. Stay here cause you will live at your own movie. "
"We stayed at Auberge Des Gallants as an alternative to staying at a Montreal hotel for the F1 Grand Prix and I am so incredibly happy that we did! The location was gorgeous - close enough to Montreal that the drive was reasonable but far enough away to truly feel like an escape from the city. Although the guest room was nothing particularly special (but still very clean and extremely comfortable), the rest of the resort was like a dream. The grounds are stunning, with beautiful gardens and so much wildlife that it felt like a fairy forest. The food was amazing - our dinner at the restaurant was quite literally the best food my boyfriend and I have ever experienced (I cannot recommend the scallop appetizer enough). The shampoo/conditioner/body wash provided in the bathroom instantly became a new favourite of mine that I’ll be ordering for myself at home. I was a bit concerned that we might have an issue because neither my boyfriend nor I speak French, but the staff were lovely and very helpful and the language barrier was not an issue at all. Considering how affordable our one-night stay was compared to Montreal hotels, we were extremely impressed with the quality of our experience. I cannot recommend this resort highly enough - after spending a single night there, my boyfriend and I knew this would become a special place for us and that we would absolutely be returning again. "

"Staff were friendly and helpful. Historical tour was amazing. Bistro was nice. I had a room with a private washroom, which makes a huge difference. After hours checkin was easy. I will visit again as long as I can book a room with a private washroom. Adjacent store, winery, vegetable markets and orchards are all wonderful. Lots of history and an evolving area."

"It’s good for the price. Communal bathroom. Didn’t realize it at the time of booking. So I didn’t stay but it is attached to a restaurant that seems to serve good food. So it is convenient is you need to be in the area. "
