Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Freeport by IHG
8/10 Good
"This was a last-minute trip to specifically go to LL Bean & other retail stores. This hotel popped up in my Expedia feed & they had availability for what we needed at a very good price point. The reviews were great & it was 5 minutes away from the LL Bean campus, as well as Freeport Village Station.
Our room was spacious (for our needs) & most importantly it was very clean & comfortable. Along with price, cleanliness—especially having ZERO bugs of any kind—is of UTMOST IMPORTANCE. A few improvements tho: bathroom lighting is waaaay too bright & harsh--pls add another light that’s softer, perhaps one that is over the tub area and/or a light(s) around the mirror. Adding a heat lamp & vent in the bathroom would also add comfort. Extending guest laundry to 24hrs (or at least 2AM, even midnight!) would be great too as people are traveling and being active (especially here in Maine!) so that would be awesome & convenient. And having at least 2 ppl at the front desk would also make things run more easily for staff and guests alike.
Staff: the night front desk was courteous & helpful but seemed stymied if there was more than 1 person in line; the kitchen staff was friendly & very kind; housekeeping seemed distant & aloof. Hotel: gym & pool but we didn't use. Very good breakfast 'til 10AM. Keep up the good work: cleanliness, comfort, courteousness, price.
Final note: only 1 elevator per wing/side is extremely inefficient & inconvenient. Hopefully this can be upgraded."
"We had a bit if delay checking in due to the card reader not working. However, they let us move in and return later to pay. There was a nice table with two chairs as well as deak, frig, and 2 nightstands. Ample parking. The bug surprise was the breakfast. It was a continental, but there were bagels and cream cheese, crreal, oatmeal, bansnas, apples, English muffins snd a belt toaster. We enjoyed our stay and ut was an easy return to 295"
"The property was clean and well maintained. The room was also clean and organized. I would recommend this property if you’re looking for a comfortable bed and a clean property."

10/10 Excellent
"This was an excellent hotel. It was in close proximity to Bowdoin College and allowed me to navigate various parts of Brunswick with ease. The staff were super."
