"Stopped in York for some sleep in the middle of 15 hour drive. They allowed cats, so we checked in. Shower was clean & modern, the towels were ample. The thermostat kept the room nice & cold the way I like it. Curtains kept the sun out so I could get good sleep. Fridge was great to have as well as the coffee maker in the room too.
Overall, the property is a little dated, but it was clean & safe & the staff was nice. The stairways to my room smelled a bit like weed, but you’ll have that & most people use the elevator anyway.
Next time I’d probably spring for the Holiday Inn around the corner for an extra 35 bucks. But I got some much needed sleep & grateful for a hot shower, peace & quiet & cozy bed.
Desk staff graciously allowed me to check out at 12:30 which was appreciated due to my late arrival, I really needed all the sleep I could to drive another 8 hours."
"Property in total state of disrepair upon our arrival, was hard to tell if even still in business? Halls filthy, ice machine broken sink coated in mold, telephone completely dirty. Oh, and a surprise visit by York’s finest to quell some very loud domestic disturbance at 3 in the morning. We left at 3:15 😔"
"Pool was closed, there are no in-room coffee makers and the "coffee" provided at all times was barely flavored. There was mold at the base of the toilet, and under the rim of the toilet. The message light on the phone would not go off. The staff said "Just unplug the phone." The T.V. remote would not turn off the unit and would not control the volume. There was only luke warm water available in the shower until after 6:30 a.m. which isn't very helpful when you want to shower at 5:30. Only luke warm water in the sink as well. The only plus was that the beds were clean and comfortable. I hope they do better in the future."
"There was no chair for the desk. The one side chair was attractive but not comfortable The pillows were big and hard--very uncomfortable. Room was very attractive and breakfast was very good.. Staff were helpful and friendly.."
