"Needlessly complicated check in process - why did I have to supply my ID? There is no UK legal requirement for this and most places don't do it. "Accommodation is a little tired but kept very clean. All staff were very pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately restaurant wasn't open despite website stating that it had opened. However we were able to bring in a takeaway and eat it in the bar area which was helpful. Pool wasn't open as closed for maintenance for a few days which was disappointing. It seems that this hotel has a new policy not to service rooms daily - apparently you should be offered daily housekeeping on checking-in, but we weren't offered and neither were another couple we were talking to. We were only there a couple of nights so not too bad for us but worth being aware of. Excellent breakfast!!"
