ottima posizione logistica

L'hotel si trova in una zona molto tranquilla a due passi dalla stazione Pompei villa dei misteri della Circumvesuviana e da uno degli ingressi degli scavi. Personale dell'hotel gentilissimo e pulizia eccellente; stanze nella norma anche se una rinfrescata alle pareti e all'arredamento dovrerbbe essere data; tuttavia il bagno (sanitari e doccia) sono in ottimo stato e materassi abbastanza nuovi (non si sprofonda come avviene di solito negli hotel). La struttura è una villa (lo si intuisce facilmente dal nome dell'hotel). La colazione andrebbe migliorata, magari con qualche dolce tipico della zona (come le sfogliatelle). Comunque scegliendo questo hotel si ha un ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo, un'ottima posizione logistica per visitare gli scavi e magari anche Napoli lasciando l'auto a Pompei e prendendo la Circumvesuviana. Lo consiglio

Very nice

Villa Diomede was very nice. Staff were helpful, clean room. Train track are close. The trains don’t run at night so a good nights sleep is possible 🙂. I would stay here again.

The room is very roomy. It is located in a very convenient location within walking distance to the pompeii archaeological park and 30 mins drive to Amalfi Coast. The only complaint is the A/C didn’t work well to cool down the whole room.

Close to Pompeii

Super nice staff, especially the very kind and helpful lady in the breakfast room (Gratzia?). She was excellent. Pros: Hotel was decently priced and quite adequate. There is an attractive courtyard, and our room was large. It's very conveniently located close to the Circumvesuvia train station and one of the entrances to Pompeii. Things that may matter to some travelers: There weren't any restaurants open within a few blocks of the hotel during our late October stay - we had to walk 20 minutes. The hotel is located right next to a train track, so you regularly hear trains going by from about 6:30 in the morning til 10:30'ish at night. We could also hear guests through the walls of our room. Wi-fi didn't work in the room sometimes, but would work outside on the veranda.

L'hotel é certamente molto vicino alla Stazione Pompei Scavi e all'ingresso di Porta Marina. In teoria perfetto per arrivarci alla sera con la Circumvesuviana ed essere poi sul posto per una visita di una intera giornata agli scavi di Pompei prima del ritorno serale a Napoli.. Purtroppo dalle 16.00 in poi non c'e' nessuno presso l'hotel per il chek- in e occorre aspettare che si presenti qualcuno. Senza potersi muovere in macchina ci si trova poi alla sera lontani da qualsiasi trattoria o bar.. Magari basterebbe anche un bollitore in stanza per prepararsi una tisana calda. Magari una gestione competente potrebbe facilmente informare meglio gli ospiti e fornire maggiore assistenza. Insomma forse si può trovare di meglio nonostante la buona qualità della stanza. presente

Gem at Pompeii

This is a nice little hotel located about an 8 minute walk from Pompeii Scavi train station. We arrived after 9:00 pm. The owner/operator met us and let us in the gate, checked us in, and provided us with useful information. He even watched our luggage while we toured Pompeii. Breakfast was good, all you can eat, and was 8 euro per person.

Nice hotel close to the entrance to pompei

Great location close to the train station by the historical site. When you travel to Pompei by train understand that there are two train stations in town, one for the city and one for people going to the historical site. We got on the wrong train and got off at the main train station in Pompei which is only a mile from the historical site. The hotel is very close to the second train station which is across the street from where you want to be.

good location for ruins

The location was excellent. It was a short walk to the ruins. We also were able to walk to restaurants and other parts of town. The breakfast was very good and they even have coffees made to order in the morning. It is right by some train tracks, so you can hear the trains running all day and into the night. But it isn't enough to disturb sleep. The taxi from the train station is about 10 euros.

Very close to the ruins

This hotel that offer only brekfast is 50 m far from ruin exit villa dei misteri. Rooms are comfortable (we were 5 people, and the room was wide enough to hold even a little kitchen and 2 little tables). Very clean, with air conditioning and a car park very close to the rooms. It has been a pleasent stay for our 2 days visit. Near the hotel you can find a pub (800m) and a restaurant (100 m) that offer pizzas and ethnic cousin.
