We stayed here for one night as a stopover on our way home. We were travelling with our two small dogs and were placed in a room on the main floor near the green area for the dogs which was much appreciated. Parking was great: we were able to park near the door to our room and dog area. Our room was clean and very quiet (we are light sleepers) The breakfast provided was awesome: I really appreciated the helathy options! We will definately stop here again on our way South.

Really great breakfast. Dining area inviting, comfortable and clean. Staff very kind and helpful. Rooms clean and maintained. No weird smells from cleaners or deodorizers that you often smell at other hotels. Highly recommend. We won't stay anywhere else when we're in the area.

The Ponderay Best Western Plus provided excellent accommodations during my stay. I would recommend this to anyone traveling to that part of Idaho.

The pool and hot tub didn’t work because they had water burst, no fault at their own, it’s just be fun to have a hot tub after skiing all day

We stayed here January of 2024 for a 4 day little trip. We loved it and definitely would recommend. Felt so cozy and staff were super friendly! Pros: -bed is comfortable -hot tub and pool are nice -good parking -friendly staff -great breakfast selection and lots of eating space -has complimentary lemon infused water daily and cookie of the day to grab. -has gift shop with some souvenirs and snacks and drinks -has ice machine and vending machine on 2nd floor -has key card access to pool -has gym -beautiful lobby with a giant gorgeous tree, some seating and couches, and a nice big fireplace. -sells little soaps at the front desk in support of small businesses -hot tub has timer on it you can set manually -you can ask for housekeeping service -great selection of espresso drinks Cons: -stain on ceiling -piece of hair in shower -heats on high in whole hotel -pillows are small, had to ask for a couple but they are comfortable -mircrowavw hard to understand -built in bathroom fan isn’t the best and bathroom fogs up and everything has moisture everywhere

Great place to stay! Warm and friendly welcome upon our arrival. Everything about the hotel was super clean and well kept. The queen beds seemed smaller than usual. Most of the breakfast was average, but better than most places. Didn't get a chance to use the pool, but I'm sure it would have been great! Would definitely return again!

The person working the desk was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was surprisingly good (waffles, eggs, potatoes, oatmeal, blueberry, ...). Our room was clean and quiet and beds comfortable. The rooms facing the back have nice view of a meadow lined with conifers. We even saw several deer grazing.

We were so blessed by our stay at the Ponderay Mountain Lodge. Everything was immaculate and we had everything we needed when we needed it. Comfortable beds and spacious rooms, an amazing breakfast buffet attended by the nicest lady. The true excellence of the Lodge is in the kindness of its people. Marie and Kathy, you are angels! I so hope we can come back to see you all and enjoy the beauty of Ponderay at our leisure- thank you for making our stay so lovely and for being so ready to help. Ten stars!

Perfect stop while traveling through area. Walkable distance from restaurants and shops. Short drive to enjoy the lake and take a hike without having to go into downtown Sandpoint. Though, Sandpoint is very cute and worth a visit.
