"Enotel Lido is a 10 floor hotel centrally located 10 to 12 minutes by car from old Funchal. We stayed for 7 nights and were impressed with its housekeeping services, pristine grounds, and exceptional buffet menu. Each night was themed and there was an extensive vegetarian option. Lamb, chicken, duck, veal, shrimp and fish were outstanding. Desserts were incredible!! We plan to return as long as the chef doesn’t leave!! "We loved staying at Enotel Sunset Bay. Ponta do Sol is a fantastic location on Madeira. The hotel is right in front of the ocean and beach and all rooms have ocean views.We stayed on the 4th floor in the seaview rooms with balcony. The rooms are very spacious, clean and well-equiped. The 4th floor is where the roof top deck is located. It was a great place to soak in some sunshine and relax after a day of hiking. The indoor pool was also a bonus. The breakfast buffet is excellent, with lots of great choices. There is free underground parking, but it is somewhat difficult to get into and can get full. Overall, this is an excellent hotel and I highly recommend."
