A common problem for motels which do not have a sink for guests to wash utensils they use is that some guests do not properly wash the utensils they use. We had to wash all glasses, cups, bowls, and spoons before use. Equally common is the use of fabric softeners on tea towels when washed and mechanically dried. The fabric softeners diminish the drying ability of the tea towel making it hard to remove streaks from glassware. Motel rooms are well sized and comfortable. Staff very helpful.

Absolutely loved staying here, very handy to the local mall takeaways supermarkets restaurants across the road. Definitely will book here again when back in Porirua. Our 1 bedroom apartment was very spacious and clean it catered for everything we need.

2nd time I have stayed. This time with a 2 1/2 yr old grandson. No cot facilities for young ones. Bed was too hard for my liking. Otherwise good place to stay.

Found stay was good... Had a issue with the Netflix but sorted.. Other than that a good stay.. Our room was next to a boiler or something that come on every now and then.. But I think by 11pm it stopped... Bar tgat good stay.

Great set up of beds in the rooms that fit our family of 6 easily. Found a cockroach in one of the rooms. The boxsprings had stains. One of the beside lights was flickering and twitchy. Kitchen amenities were lacking a proper cutting knife. Appreciated the cookies and milk as well as the filtered water dispenser in the lobby.

Our general stay was ok but we noticed that one of the big towel that was included in the pile which was meant to be clean have some red spots over it that appeared to be blood ?. Also, the bathroom tiles are slippery when wet. Make sure to use the mat provided as my son slipped while having a shower.

I liked the convenience and access to the motel. It was local and easy to get too and close to the cities amenities. There are a few things that need upgrading eg motel towels, bed spread covers and bathroom however over all it was ok.

The Amethyst Court is perfect for our needs. The rooms are a good size, clean and have everything needed for a short stay. The reception staff are always very friendly and helpful. We have stayed there many times and keep coming back.

This property is conveniently situated - right opposite Porirua mall. We booked a studio room for two adults - good size. Clean and tidy but 'tired'. The chairs in the rooms had rips in them which just made first impressions a little like 'oh'. But apart from that I would stay here again.

Great service from management. Glasses and crockery in room were not clean - from the later of dust on plates and shelves may not have been used for some time so not a recent visitor.
