It was OK. I never saw a single staff member! I booked on line and arrived to find my registration for at the front counter. When I left I dropped my key in the drop box. Strange. Aotea Lodge
The shower didn’t have cold water, only scaldingly hot water so we could not take a decent shower. No AC so the room was hot. We opened the windows to cool down, but the adjacent roadway is busy and loud all night long.

Gilmer Apartment Hotel
Clean, serviced apartment with good amenities in a good location near waterfront and cable car. Excellent reception. Surrounded by car parks so no good views out of the window.
