Instead of a traditional reception desk, we were greeted personally by the owners, who took the time to show us the property and ensure we were settled. It is important to note that this is not a "party" hotel—there is no loud music in the common areas. It is designed for those looking to escape stress and noise. I returned home feeling recharged rather than tired, which is a rare and welcome result of a vacation. Dining & Drinks The culinary experience is a highlight. While they don’t serve a traditional "Tico" breakfast, the healthy options provided were excellent and gave me plenty of energy for the day. Honestly, there is no need to head into town for lunch or dinner; the food here is some of the best in the area in terms of both quality and cost. For those who enjoy a drink, the bar is well-stocked with a great variety of liquors and a consistently cold supply of beer. Service & Amenities Service: The staff is incredibly polite and helpful. Whether I needed a lighter or specific food requests, they were attentive and professional. Cleanliness: The room cleaning service was flawless. The Beach: A short, easy walk from the hotel leads to what feels like a private"

"This place is great: very conveniently located walking distance to the beach and airport. The room was clean and had air conditioning and WiFi. You could see animals right out the door including an iguana in the garden area, scarlet macaw flying overhead and a sloth down the road. Great price. Will be back! "

"There is no way this is 3.5 star and it is very expensive for a small motel room. Cold water shower (despite it working for a couple of seconds) Owner has a pack of dogs that bark all the time - they locked them in when I complained but were out barking again at 6am It says it is inclusive of breakfast but they didn’t provide it and said it was a mistake So really poor but the little restaurants nearby were great and I probably had the best meal so far, it’s also a great place for spotting parrots and toucans "

"Our room, #3, overlooks the water/dock/boats. Entry to the room is from the bar/dining area. Fortunately, the restaurant/bar was not busy the night we stayed so noise was not a problem. The decor is of a bygone era. Service was very friendly and quick. The food was good, too."
