Relaxed and easy holiday
Perfectly located. Easy walk to everything. Clean unit with everything you need, plenty of kitchen supplies, great shower and lots of space. Pool temperature perfect. Property managers are very helpful but unobtrusive. Excellent value for the location.

A Great Find!
We had a great time staying at Garrick House. Our apartment had all that we required for our 7 night accommodation. This property is located close to Macrossan St, which is the main street in Port Douglas, so we were able to walk easily to all shops, cafes & restaurants. Our apartment was very clean & comfortable. On entry & throughout our stay, we were welcomed and the Managers were readily available.

A great place to stay!
This was great place to stay. The owners went out of their way to accommodate us even though we booked late on a Sunday afternoon. The apartments are well sized and comfortable. The property has a heated pool, BBQ facilities and is close walking distance to 4 Mile Beach and the shopping district. Had a great stay and would definitely return.

Great value, nice apartment
I found the Garrick House to be a great value for the money. The apartments have fully stocked kitchens, and our two bedroom apartment had a washer and dryer inside the unit for laundry. The owners were easily reached about questions, and helped us out promptly even when the reception was closed. The property is an easy walk to the main street, but is located on a quieter side street. The beach is a short walk to the end of the block as well. I would not hesitate to stay here again, and would recommend the apartments to others.

Solid option for group stays
Came to PD with a group of 4 for the local diving. Easy after-hours check-in. Somewhat limited covered parking in the back, but at least it's free. Spacious living room and very well-equipped kitchen. Beds are on the small side but the rooms were otherwise great. In-unit washer with free detergent provided was highly appreciated, though the drying racks provided were not sufficient. Location is great, just a couple blocks away from the downtown area and likewise close to the beach.

Garrick House stay
This apartment is in a quiet street close to main streets. You can walk to most places. The staff are very friendly and accomodating. The apartment was clean and had all amenities that was needed. I would stay there again.

It was great to have so much space and access to a washing machine/dryer. We had a garden view with balcony which was nice but seemed to be in the shade all day. That is fine if that's want you want it for. Location was excellent. Literally 2 minutes walk from 4 Mile Beach and 5 minutes walk to the main restaurants and shops. Al and Olivia were very friendly and helpful and had plenty of knowledge about the area. If you plan to rent a car there is a shaded car park around the back of the property. There is also a Smart TV in the living room with Netflix so we found that to be a nice bonus. Our only slightly negative point was that our bedroom window looked straight out into another apartment's balcony. This forced us to keep the blinds closed for our entire stay. But overall, very good!!

lovely quiet area. the weather meant we had to stay indoors a bit but the sofa/lounge and chairs were rather uncomfortable and the size of the apartment was restrictive when spending so much time inside. The kitchen facilities were excellent

Great location but some rooms a little tired
We got one of the rear rooms that seemed a little tired compared to another we peeled into and the ones in the advertised pictures. It was clean enough and we enjoyed our stay. The location was great for the beach and the town of Port Douglas which was a gem. The pool was small so no more than 1 or 2 families could use the area at a time.

Little paradise
The luxury studio was immaculate and very quiet as it was detached from the main inn. They booked a great snorkel tour and were very iind! The location was central to everything- beach, and downtown restaurants. Lovely stay! Would definitely return!!!

This smaller, boutique property is charming, well situated close to the beach and a 5 minute walk to downtown Port Douglas's shops and various restahrants, bars. The room was actually a small, furnished apartment including laundry and kitchenette which came in very handy. Lovely balcony and comfortable bed.

The place was great, well stocked and a perfect location. 2 minutes level walk to the beach and the same to the Main Street. The pool was beautiful and perfect for our 3 year old and us to enjoy.

Hard to find a fault with the Garrick
We were on the top floor in a two bed which was comfortable and spacious, and was one of the best equipped appartments I have stayed in. Perfect location for the beach 2 mins walk, restaurants and shops 2mins as well. friendly helpful managers. The pool is small perfect if you have young kids, only big enough for one family to use at time, pool area is limited in space so if your looking to relax with a book by the pool then you might be disappointed, but do as we did and go to the beach as it is so close with great sunbeds to relax on.

Al & Olivia very welcoming & approachable. Location great and accommodation very comfortable. We stayed in studio apartment which had everything we could ask for & more - have never experienced such well equipt accommodation before! A couple of suggestions, block out curtains at sliding door entrance would have been better than the two roller blinds as when down there was approx 2 inch gap &, being ground floor property at front of building, it felt a bit exposed at times. Not much counter space around bathroom sink for hair straighteners etc. therefore a light & powerpoint at desk/dresser area would have been useful. These points are personal & in no way reduce how highly we would recommend the establishment. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

Fantastic location close to beach
Loved everything about this property which is suitable for families and couples. No lift so if elderly and cannot manage stairs then the top floor might not be the best. Staff friendly, tour booking service great. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. they provided everything you need for the kitchen and laundry, plus beach/pool towels and deck chairs.Property is very well maintained, Handy to everything but on a nice quiet street.

Comfortable apartment, relaxed atmosphere
Our 2 bed apartment was roomy and comfortable with ceiling fans and efficient air con and a good-sized balcony. The pool area was clean - quite small so I don't know what it would be like if the place was full but while we were there it was peaceful and pleasant. Great location, quiet, close to the beach, the surf club and a couple of cafes. Plus the start of Macrossan street, with its many shops, bars and restaurants, was just at the end of the road. We would be very happy to stay here again.

Great property in heart of Port Douglas
This small family owned hotel was perfect for our stay in Port Douglas. We had a two bedroom apartment for a 5 day stay. The apartment was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The kitchenette was perfectly adequate to meet our needs. The hotel is beautifully landscaped and located within easy walking distance from the main street and 4 Mile Beach. Al and Olivia could not have been more welcoming or helpful. I enthusiastically recommend this hotel.

The property was very tired and balcony had an old rusted air conditioning unit above table and chairs. Noise and hot air meant couldnt really use balcony. Two windows didnt open and internal door lock broke during stay. Rang owners but no response. Apartment was large clean and good location with good kitchen.

Remodelled apartment with character.
We were unable to arrive on our check in date due to a flooded highway. The staff at Garrick House went out of their way to accommodate our new dates and arranged reasonable transfers for us from Caines airport. Once there our host Al arranged for sailing and snorkeeling on the reef. We also enjoyed cooling off in the pool. Wish we had had more time, loved it at Garrick House!

Beautiful Port Douglas experience
Absolutely stunning hotel! Only stayed for 4 nights and wish it had have been longer. Perfect location right by Macrossan St and the beach, gorgeous hotel and the room was beautiful and spacious! Incredibly kind and helpful staff. Definitely somewhere we will stay again upon returning to Port Douglas!

Helpful staff and a great stay
I would definitely recommend Garrick House to anyone that is looking to visit Port Douglas. It is a short walk to the beach and less than a 10 minute walk to the port and town centre. The staff were very helpful and were able to advise me on the best tour for me. Each apartment has a fully fitted and equipted kitchen which was ideal for us.

We were welcomed by a friendly person who showed us to our apartment. It was very roomy with everything in it we wanted. A short walk to the main beach. 15 minute walk to the marina. The main shopping area starts at the end of the street. The appartment was very quiet at night. It made our holiday enjoyable and a place we would recommend .

Nice play to stay.
Apartment was nice. Made to feel very welcome, good bloke running it - Very helpful and friendly. Nice BBQ area if you want to save on eating out costs. Got to have a washing machine as well as we were halfway through our trip. Good location - Two min walk to the beach. Two mins to the start of the town street.
