Lovely area but not the best stay.
Heartbreakingly, this was the worst stay I've had here. The place shut down fully at 8pm and the wifi was so patchy it was unusable. Such a shame as I've enjoyed such fantastic stays here before.
This was an absolute wonderful experience for my family! The staff was excellent and they treated us like we were the only ones at the hotel! We will be planning another trip there not just because of the wonderful location, but mainly the friendly attitudes they showed towards us!! Thank you again!
We were expecting a typical UK b & b - tiny, minimal space et cetera. We were pleasantly surprised at the space. Alright, we had the attic room and we were continually ducking and twisting our heads to avoid celing beams, but we thought it added to the character of the place.

Room 11 should be cheaper
Great location, staff really friendly. Room really clean. However, we stayed in room 11 right at the very top of the building and it was cramped. For the room rate at the end of sept it seemed a bit expensive as far as we were concerned.
That said, we had a quick look in one of the other rooms and they seemed much more spacious. Would go again, but would refuse room 11 next time.
We loved our 2 night stay - staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We stayed in the front terrace room and even though directly above the outdoor seating for the restaurant we had no problem with noise we actually kept our French doors open all night so we could hear the surf. Suggest you stay at least 2 full days in Port Isaac - it’s a different village when the tourists leave in the late afternoon. The shop keepers are so friendly- the ice cream at the “pharmacy” is yummy. Purchased a really nice hoodie sweater at a local shop (good quality, not tourist souvenir). Bottom line - we’ll be back
Small but super nice and a great experience...plus it came with the best breakfast i have ever had in my life...and it has been a life with a lot of breakfasts.

Slipway is Fantastic !!!
The Slipway is the only place to stay in Pt Isaac!! You are literally "on the beach", and in the middle of everything this charming village offers.Add to this that the staff is incredible !! The meals, especially the breakfast are fantastic. If you stay anyplace else in Pt Isaac, you are doing yourself a misservice.
It was unclear from hotel.com description that these rooms are above a pub although this was not a problem as apart from the early morning seagulls the room was very quiet. We were in room 11 which was lovely with its own sitting area, only problem was the low door which at 5’ 7 and 5’ 11 heights we kept hitting our heads on. The breakfast was excellent with a great choice of dishes and served by very friendly staff.Port Isaac is a beautiful villiage and these rooms are right in the centre of it.
Slipway is a restaurant which is also a hotel. A bit confusing at “check-in” as there is no front desk and you check in through the restaurant with the restaurant staff. This is fine, just different. Rooms are small, but you are in the center of the town, and it wasn’t a problem, except I kept bumping my head ad I entered the room. Anyone over six feet tall should be careful about that. Building is very old, but rooms are updated, although there was a definite tilt in my room (unlevel floor). Downside of the great location is a lot of noise coming from the people in the street below and those eating downstairs. Overall, a positive experience, very memorable, just be aware of the issues I mentioned.
Excellent food at all times, particularly the deluxe seafood platter (nearly too much even for me!) and a good choice of breakfasts. Staff very helpful and friendly and great view from room overlooking harbour. What could be improved? I thought £180 per night for a B & B was a bit steep, is this the Doc Martin effect, and I would have preferred a larger and more comfortable double bed but that's being very picky.
We really enjoyed our stay. We loved the the room and the staff was always very helpful. The restaurant serves excellent food. This is a wonderful choice for a stay at a stay in a great small village with magnificent views and welcoming people.
Great place but make sure it's what you can enjoy.
Great place and aera, food and service were great, but the hotel and the area is unsuitable for people will a walking disability. The parking area is at the top of the village up a steep long hill.

Hotel in port Isaac
Really tiny room. Great views but room and bed very small.
We had a lovely weekend. The staff were friendly and helpful. We booked into room 5 which overlooked the slipway and harbour. The room was clean, bed comfortable and room service was carried out each day. The breakfast was excellent and a Gluten Free options were available for my wife. Lunch and Dinner is available if required. Being the off season, the bar and restaurant closed early on the Sunday. Due to the location being surrounded by hills/cliffs, we were unable to receive a mobile phone signal at the Hotel. Did not bother us that much but others may be disappointed. There were plenty of local walks and Padstow is well worth a visit. Parking is in a public car park about a 10 minute walk away up the hill. We preferred to take the cliff top walk to it which was a bit easier. Cost of parking was £2.70 for a 24 Hour period. All in all it was well worth the visit.
