Sheraton Port Moresby Stanley Hotel & Suites

8/10 Good
"Room on 7th floor. A little bit dated. Shower did not work properly, only the hand held wand worked, the overhead large shower rose would not work properly, (the change over switch would not lock in). Large mirrored wardrobe doors have no proper way of opening, you have to bend down and place hand under doors and pull open. On my last night of 4 night stay, the fire alarms went off at 3am. After the first siren stopped (after around 90 secs), the siren kept sounding and then would go off and on, telling people to evacuate. Apart from this recording message there was no other annoy announcement. After approx 1 hour of the alarm on and off, the duty manager announced over hotel PA system that there was a fault on alarm system and everyone can return to bed. Why did it take so long to advise. If it had been a real emergency, there was total confusion."
