I never received a email or any communication about how to get into the house. As soon as I got off the plane, I had to call to get the door code.
By the time we got to the property it was after hours. I had no idea there was a gate that required a code to enter the property. Again, there was no email or communication about a gate code. I called the after hours phone number and talked to a call center. The guy on the phone said an on-call manager would call me back with the gate code. No one ever called.
My family and I waited outside the gate for an hour and a half. Another guest that was staying at Barefoot Cottages pulled up, I talked to him and he opened the gate for us.
I had to call Prestine Properties the next morning for the gate code. There was no apology or empathy for the situation. The lady on the phone cut me off mid-sentence to ask for my name, so she could rush me off the phone.
There was no toilet paper in the main downstairs bathroom. Multiple light bulbs were burnt out upstairs. The upstairs balcony had not been swept between several stays; there were cobwebs everywhere and spots where people had put their cigarettes out on the wood, ashes and tobacco.
This level of service is unacceptable for a property of this caliber and price point. My family and I were terribly inconvenienced in the middle of the night/morning.
