2 beautiful nights at The Port Hotel.
We had a good time at Port Hotel. We enjoyed the extras provided for us in the lounge. The room was very clean. I guess this was the off season so it was very quiet. Port Washington is a nice weekend getaway.

Excellent hotel
The Port Hotel was fantastic. It was spacious, comfortable, and elegantly decorated with a charming and quaint ambiance. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Wonderful stay
This was the 2nd time we stayed here, and it did not disappoint. We ate at the restaurant downstairs this time, and it was fabulous! Love this place, can't wait to get back.

We loved our stay at the Port Hotel. The room was beautiful. A nice lounge with snacks and food was offered with the stay. Everything is convenient and close by. There is a restaurant and tavern located in the building. We will be back for sure.

Lovely Boutique Hotel
Do I start with the amazing customer service or the gorgeous building? The innkeeper called us the morning of our trip to make sure we had all the info we needed and remind us about a farmers market out front. The room was gorgeous, the lounge was super cozy, the little touches made it all come together. I cannot think of a negative thing to say. Well done!

We had a lovely and comfortable stay at The Port Hotel. Parking was easy, the room was beautiful, and the huge bathroom was a big plus! The well-stocked kitchen made for a home-away-from-home feel, and the variety of pastries was a fun touch. The only thing we were confused on was where to find towels, but eventually located them on a shelf in the hallway. The attached restaurant is also outstanding - we met another couple for dinner, and everyone absolutely loved their meal. Having a bar on-site (albeit with limited hours) is very convenient also. All in all a wonderful experience, and we will be back!

AC makes loud noise when fan starts. Needs to be corrected. Other than that stay was excellent.

Getaway place in Port Washington
Delightfully elegant old building, beautifully remodeled and having all the modern comforts you'd want. Just pay attention to taking the outside key with you when you leave the building at night so you don't have to bother the innkeeper at home! Although, he was extremely gracious and helpful. There is no front desk.

Our room wasn't ready at 3pm. I texted, left a VM and emailed Jim Read the proprietor and received NO response. The bartender actually gave me the proprietor's personal cell number and I called and got in touch with him. The proprietor said that the housekeeper had to suddenly leave for an emergency and that he was on his way to make up the room. It was ready about 90 minutes to 2 hours later. He stated to me that he would call and let me know when the room was ready. He didn't. He stated to me that he would knock $20.00 off the room fee and give us 2 free drinks in the bar. He didn't. This was our 4th time there and 1st time with new owners of the hotel and restaurant. (Two separate owners) It's our last time there.

Hi Paul,Sorry you hit us at a bad time and lost your patronage, I did process 20 discount for your inconvenience. I drove 25 miles to take care of your room which takes another 45 min. sorry we stumbled that night.

No breakfast, no elevator.
Nothing to eat for breakfast. Sign saying bagels and muffins available, but there were none. No bread. Very small amount of full fat milk only. So only items available were snack bars or a chocolate muffin, for breakfast???!! We had to go and buy breakfast elsewhere so we were very disappointed as should have been included in the price. Either items aren't replenished or there were some selfish guests who took everything. Annoying having to drag suitcases up two floors. Wjen we settled in our room the toilet was blocked. Pros were that the proprietor was friendly, and the beds comfy.

Our 10 room Hotel is a local landmark for over 120 years. The new ownership has purchased an elevator which is a very large investment for the 10 room boutique hotel hopefully installed soon. Im sorry you were disappointed in the "Continental Breakfast" we offer, We always send an arrival message that indicates that we provide a variety of fruit & berries, Juices, Pastries, three cheese omelets and breakfast burritos or sandwiches that need to only be warmed up. it is self serve, and I have not noticed a huge depletion, muffins and bagels have not been popular, and are often wasted. Thanks for your booking, and your critique, we will watch closely.

What a wonderful hotel. The self check-in worked as suggested and the room is gorgeous. It’s well located in a beautiful town, close to a wide choice of top bars and eateries. We’ll worth staying here.

Elegant downtown lodging
We had a large and luxurious, very quiet room with a gas fireplace and jacuzzi tub. The guest lounge is well stocked. A very pleasant place.
