"The place was located in a small neighborhood that gave it a real Costa Rican feel. It was very spacious, modern & clean. It was a smart home equipped with all the essentials. Sergio was an awesome host that made our stay very pleasant. I would definitely stay here again!"

"We weren't prepared for how remote this property is and the extended rainy season made it even more so with very poor road conditions. Be sure to stock up on EVERYTHING you'll need before going up there as a trip to any store or restaurant will be lengthy. We had to leave after staying only one of our two nights as we just didn't have enough food. There is a restaurant on the property which would have been a complete game changer but it wasn't open during our visit in mid-November. The times...

"We had the best stay here. It was beautiful, the perfect location- super close to town but just far enough away that it was peaceful. The house was super clean and had all the amenities one would need for a long stay. The air worked great, beds comfortable, plenty of towels, beautiful private soaking pool. I can’t wait to come back!"

"We had a great stay overall at the RIU Costa Rica and would definitely recommend it. The buffet was one of the highlights of the trip, especially breakfast and dinner. There was a great variety of fresh food every day, and we looked forward to every meal. The pools were beautiful, centrally located, and just a short walk from our room. We also appreciated that the gym and spa were nearby. My fiancée enjoyed both her spa treatment and getting her hair braided, and both experiences exceeded our expectations.
Another standout was the Destination Services team located at the resort. They helped us book two incredible excursions that included zip lining, a mud bath, seeing sloths, a lazy river, and several other amazing experiences. Everything was well organized, and it made exploring Costa Rica incredibly easy.
The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout almost our entire stay. The only area that could be improved was the check-in experience. We felt a little rushed, weren’t given a resort map, and the mobile app wasn’t properly connected to our room credentials, so it wasn’t very useful at first. Fortunately, the staff quickly helped us resolve the app and Wi-Fi issues, and everything went smoothly after that.
Overall, we had a wonderful vacation and would absolutely consider staying here again. The excellent food, convenient layout, friendly staff, and memorable excursions made this a fantastic experience."
"We had a wonderful stay at CC Beach Front Papagayo! Costa Rica is one of my new favorite destinations, and as always, it is the people that make the experience special. Everyone we encountered was welcoming, kind, and genuinely happy to help.
The resort grounds were beautifully maintained, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the housekeeping staff did an excellent job throughout our stay. The chef was fantastic! Not only was the food great, but he made a point of greeting us every day and sharing the theme for that evening's dining experience. The wait staff was attentive and friendly, the pool staff kept our drinks full, and the pool attendants worked hard to keep the pool clean throughout the day.
The tasting restaurant was a nice touch and a unique experience, but it felt a bit out of place given the quality and variety offered elsewhere on the property.
My only area for improvement is communication around the snack menu. We arrived near the end of lunch service and scraped together what remained from the buffet. We discovered the snack menu by accident on our second day. We would have ordered from it if we had known about it sooner. The snack menu hours were also confusing. The times listed on the board near the kitchen differed from the sign outside the dining area.
Overall, this was a fantastic stay with exceptional service, great food, and the warmth and hospitality that make Costa Rica so special!"
"I had a very goos stay at the Tamarindo Diria Beach Resort and would definitely rate the hotel itself five stars. The property has two sections—one directly on the beach and another across the street, which is where I stayed. My room was fantastic, with high ceilings, a jacuzzi on the balcony, and a very quiet and relaxing atmosphere.
The location is excellent and reminded me a little of Aruba in the sense that you can walk in almost any direction for a quarter mile or so and find shops, restaurants, and plenty of dining options. There is also a local church not too far away, which was nice to visit.
The food in the area was a little hit or miss. While walking around, I was occasionally approached by people trying to sell things or even offering drugs, so certain parts of the surrounding area could feel a little sketchy at times. That being said, the hotel grounds themselves felt very safe, secure, and well monitored.
The guests and many of the people around the property were extremely friendly. Some of the staff, however, didn’t always seem to fully embrace the warm “Pura Vida” spirit I expected.
The hotel is about an hour from the airport, and the drive was a little tough in both directions. Still, considering the roughly four-and-a-half-hour flight, the overall trip was well worth it. The breakfast was very good also and not expensive if it wasn’t included in your package. A beautiful property, a fantastic room, and a great Costa Rica experience overall."
"I stayed one night at Condovac and honestly wished it had been longer! The resort was clean and exactly as advertised. It never felt overcrowded, even at the pools and lounge areas—which were open until midnight (although towel service wasn’t available that late).
The rooms were spacious and comfortable. One of the AC units didn’t seem to cool as much as expected, but overall the stay was still very comfortable. No WiFi in rooms is a bummer.
Beach access was a highlight—clean and easy to get to. Kayaks are available starting at 9am, and there were a few local vendors nearby selling treats like snow cones and handmade artisan items, which added a nice local touch.
I really appreciated the continuous shuttle service around the property—it made getting up and down the hill effortless. The pools were warm and well-maintained.
The food was delicious and had a home-cooked feel. Dinner included options like rice, pasta, potato wedges, vegetables, and chicken or fish. Breakfast offered traditional rice and beans, sweet plantains, eggs, pancakes, salami, fruit, and cereal. Lunch featured arroz con pollo, white rice, ribs, and salad. And the tres leches dessert was amazing! Coffee was always available, and alcoholic drinks were included—shoutout to the friendly bartender who made a caipirinha so good I wanted another!
The only downside was the shuttle. Pickup from the airport is free, but return is not. It also isn’t 24hr (available from 7am–10pm). Paid $80 one way"
"Very relaxing environment. The rooms were clean and the AC worked great. Staff was friendly and helpful. They have a shuttle service and it doesn't take long for them to come get you after you call them. Be prepared to walk up and down steep hills if you don't use the shuttle service. Beach was clean. Small pool by the beach has a swim up bar and that's where I spent a lot of my time. We saw monkeys in the trees by the swim up bar a few days."
