"When we checked in our room the door to the hall way would not lock. You could push it open with your hand. The staff laughed at us about the security of the room. We were staying for 3 nights. My spouse is a Carpenter by trade. He put a Screw Driver under the door frame so the door would lock. The jetted tub did not work. It did not have a plug to fill it up. The shower leaked water all over the bath room floor. We had to put down two towels each time to take a shower. The staff still laughing told us that they could put us in a double bed room but they could not reduce the rate because we didn't book directly through them and that wasn't their problem. they did not speak good English which was another problem. Their breakfast wasn't good either. The eggs are powdered and the bacon was so thin and over cooked it had no taste and was like eating paper. i will never stay at a Howard Johnsons again no matter where it is located and if I can't get help from Expedia on the cost of this room I will never book through them again either."
"Construction in lobby, breakfast area and entrance. Very inconvenient. Cold breakfast served in small hallway by the rear entrance. Construction noises could be heard in guest rooms. Offered no discounts or future considerations for the inconvenience. Not a pleasant experience especially when the fire alarm went off."

"The TV in the room went in and out the both nights there. Plus there was a dirty water smell in the lobby. Like they used dirty mop water to clean the floor."

"Had to move rooms, due to very strong weed smell, the lady at the desk was very helpful, moved us to suite on 1st floor. Whole hotel smells of weed, room seemed ok but not the best, old needs some TLC, can hear everything in halls, door does not seal, very disappointed as we stayed here due to Trip Advisor reviews, we will not be back"
