"All persons we had contact were wonderful, helpful, and friendly. The hotel is very modern and well laid out. Breakfast was okay and a bit pricy. The hotel was situated in a great area in Porto with many sites within walking distance. The entrance to the metro is 25 meters from the door. Parking is an issue, though the hotel helped me secure a spot one day later. "
"I am a strong social hub person. It ticks a lot of boxes for the amenities needed and is always in a great location. Staff was amazing, they even made a restaurant booking for us in a local porto restaurant and were a great at suggesting non tourist trap places. The only con is the room storage is open concept so the room ended up feeling cluttered, i wish we had cabinets and an iron in the room. We had to leave the 7th floor every time to go to the community laundry room. Other than that its a really great base and the rooftop is so great to just chill and decompress after being out exploring. I wanted to buy the merch but it was a bit pricey. There is a parking garage (not associated with hotel) two minute walk from the hotel which is good if you rent a car however be prepared for hefty overnight fees. ("
"I truly don't understand why this hotel has a lot of good reviews. It is definitely overrated from my point of view.
First of all, tray charge is €8.50 for room service no matter what you order. The room service guy we called didn't tell us about the tray charge and charged us directly when serving food. He also delivered to the wrong room and we ended up waiting 1 hour for a french fries! The tray charge isn't shown in the digital menu (from QR code) either until you go to the final page. I called the front desk and the lady promised a refund but they got communication issue and this whole refund thing was forgotten when checking out until I told them again...
Also, you need to pay to access the swimming pool, €15 for 3 hrs or €20 for 2 days. Or if you are Hilton member, it is €10 for 3 hrs or €15 for 2 days. The fee is extremely non-transparent that it isn't displayed in any of the Expedia, hotel.com or agoda travel agency websites so I definitely didn't know I need to pay to go swimming in a five-star hotel when I book it! The fee table is also nowhere to be seen unless you email them directly to ask. The pool and sauna area are generally clean but the corridor is quite dark and one of the saunas is completely dark with no light at all, which is kinda weird."
"This is our first time visiting Porto with my family. I got 2 rooms superior king bed with the river view. I can’t believe how gorgeous the hotel and our rooms are. I was blown away by the staff and location. We went to our daily walk by the river( it extends all the way with restaurants along the way ). Its just magical. You need to stay here to actually experience what im saying. The breakfast buffet is superb. I will definitely be back on this hotel on our next visit. "
"The daytime staff at the desk was so helpful and friendly.
The breakfast was delicious and offered so many baked good, both savoury and sweet!
The location is excellent for seeing attractions nearby and also the river.
We had requested a twin room , but when we got to our room it was one bed. The night staff that checked us in told us that the twins may not be available on check in. He was able to move us to a standard twin room although we had paid for a superior room, so the room was quite small, but we were only there for one night, so it was ok for us. It would have been good to know when we reserved if we would be getting a twin room or not.
Would highly recommend this hotel! "
