This outstanding property is located in an excellent location of Porto with great restaurants and shops. Breakfast was amazing, thank you Susana and Susana for their wonderful hospitality at breakfast. A treat every morning! Thank you to Luis for the great referrals to local restaurants. Thank you also to Jose. Staff were all very friendly and warm. Will visit again.

We paid over 280EUR per night hoping to get a quality service during our honeymoon and it was the worst mistake in our entire trip. This is one of those hotels that charges a lot because it has an excellent location. But location isn’t everything. When we arrived, they said we made a reservation on expedia using AMEX and they didn’t accept it, so I needed to get cash of a visa credit card. I guess not accepting AMEX is ok, but they could have either mention this in the expedia page or written a message to us in advance to let us know. Gladly, my wife had a corporate VISA (now she will have to explain her boss, but I guess its not the end of the world). In general, the woman was super rude because we arrived one our earlier. All I asked for was a restroom to wash my face and a charger in some public area. She wasn’t pleased. The room isn’t what it looks like in the pictures. Pictures are misleading. The light in the room is poor, you can’t easily raise the curtains, and there is a lot of noise (even in the third floor). Something shocking: when you pay almost 300 EUR per night, it is at least customary in the hotel industry to leave a free bottle of water per night. They don’t. What is worse, there is a Nespresso coffee machine in the room, and they only give you the first one for free and charge for the rest. The neighborhood and breakfast are fine, but for this price, and in light of the service, I recommend something else.

Regarding the AMEX card, we do have on our Expedia profile that we only accept Visa and Mastercard, and since we only were authorised to see your card details at the moment of check-in we couldn't warn you about it. However, we apologize again for the inconvenience. The room that you booked is one of our most requested and best-rated rooms, we never had such complaints, however, we will take them into consideration and do everything we can to improve. Regarding the bottle of water, we always leave a free bottle and a complimentary treat in the room when our guests check-in and are glad to bring more upon request, the same happens with our coffee and tea. We truly appreciate your comments since it is important to know our guest's true opinions. There is always room for growth and we will take everything you said to better our service. We do hope you give us another chance in the future to provide you an amazing experience.

Location is great for this unique and charming hotel. Based on past reviews, I agree that this hotel is located in a centralized location where you are close to all the restaurants, shopping, port wine cellars (across the river) and walking distances to many landmarks. The staff at Armazem were excellent. Very helpful and supportive. They helped arrange several requests during our stay (car rental, walking tours, laundry service, taxi arrangements) without hesitation as well as make some great recommendations on what to visit. The whole staff was great, especially Sofia, who made sure we were comfortable during our stay.

Great stay
Excellent place essentially across the street from Misericordia Church, easy walk to most of the standard tourist sites. Great entertainment on the square every afternoon and evening, but silence inside. Immaculate rooms, interesting design, terrific staff. We'd return in a heartbeat.

The Armizem provided us with an excellent stay. Sophia and the entire staff were extremely helpful and friendly, including helping us plan an itinerary and make restaurant/activity reservations for our limited time in beautiful Porto. The location couldn’t have been better, in the middle of town within walking distance of everywhere you’d want to visit. The breakfast was delicious, carefully curated, and beautifully presented. I definitely need to return to Porto again soon and will be staying here again!

An absolute MUST!
Every little detail at Armazem, from the architecture, to the scents, to the decor, to breakfast was perfection. I literally cant speak more highly of a hotel. The owner and her daughter were the sweetest and so helpful with info, reservations etc. PLUS the location is ideal for walking around and having everything at your fingertips. Do yourself a favor and stay here if in Porto. You'll thank me later : )

Great service in a great location
This hotel is located in a perfect location in Porto. You walk out into a pedestrian plaza full of stores and cafes and just a 5 minute walk to the river and main tourist attractions. What makes this hotel really stand out is their attention to detail and great customer service. They are at the level of any 5 star luxury hotel in this regard. The breakfast buffet is also very good. The building is soundproof, with a relaxing cozy decor, so it's the perfect escape after a full day of sightseeing in the very busy Porto tourist areas.

Brand new hotel
It was the first night the hotel was open. The architecture is very cool, a mixture of the old iron warehouse it used to be and the brand new super modern. The staff was super attentive. The breakfast was fantastic. Two issues: hot water wasn't hot and the computer wouldn't take credit cards at checkout. We would go back in a minute because of everything and the location.

Great Hotel and staff is absolutely soberb
Hotel is great and very well located. Given that we were in a brand new area of the hotel, we had some issues which were immediately addressed by the staff. I am sure soon this will be the best hotel at Porto in case you seek for charm and exclusivity.

ポルトの中心駅、サンベント駅からアクセスもよく、スタッフがとても感じが良かったです。 付近にはレストランも多いので食事にも困らず ドウロ川にも坂を下れば歩いていけます。 朝食もビュッフェスタイルで美味しかったです

Hotel con encanto y personalidad en pleno centro de Oporto. El personal muy atento nos ayudó en todo lo que necesitamos. Hay que llevar poca ropa, eso sí, porque la moderna habitación no tiene armario, tiene un mueble con cajones y una pequeña barra para perchas, insuficiente para 2 feísimas un fin de semana. Todo lo demás perfecto, precioso y muy agradable.

Прекрасный бутик-отель в центре Порту
Отель приятно удивил необычным уникальным дизайном, продуманным до мелочей, всякими милыми сюрпризами вроде веточек лаванды в номере, обилием зеркал. Хороший набор косметики, тапочки, хорошее постельное белье. Все очень чисто и уютно. На третьем этаже открытая терраса с зеленью. Отличный завтрак, горячие блюда на заказ. Расположение - в самой гуще событий, в старом городе. Вокруг пешеходные улочки, старинные дома, множество ресторанов, баров, магазинчиков. Мечтаем вернуться сюда ещё раз!

It's amazing there, wonderful experience and great value! This hotel provide not only luxury rooms, which decorated with great taste, the most important is: the staff render excellent service, treat you like friends and feel at home, feel very comfortable there. Ei perle av eit hotell, med interiør utenom det vanlege i positiv forstand. Personleg og vennleg service. Nydeleg frokost. Tydeleg at eigarane hadde lagt i sjel i å gjere dette hotellet til noko ekstra for kunden.
