Hotel was in a wonderful location for our Camino walk and room was clean and lovely. Paula was friendly and communications with her were very easy. We also enjoyed the fresh nuts and Lagartos biscuits(new favorite) that were available snacks.

This is such a cute boutique style Inn. When you check into your room you are greeted with a small bottle of wine and a chocolate treat. The nautical theme is appropriate since the beach is just steps away. They’re in walking distance of many restaurants and shops. Joana the host is such a lovely person and helped in arranging transportation for me in the morning. 5 start recommend!!

The property was beautifully decorated and a fabulous location. I highly recommend although if you want a spacious room ensure you request not to be in room 5.. it’s in the eves and not for anyone over 6ft.. That wouldn’t deter us from going back and recommending this gem of a hotel.

Our room was beautiful, perfect for us. We loved having our own fridge. Everything was perfect, location, very clean, very helpful and lovely staff, always there if you needed anything. If you didn't want to walk then there is a lovely restaurant next door, it's part of the same building but a separate business. Located outside the cruise terminal, straight in front. Breakfast was included and located around the corner at Eurostar hotel, buffet style and help yourself, it was very good and a great selection. There were also biscuits & cakes you could help yourself to at the guest house. We could not fault this place and would highly recommend it. Regards Suzie & Mark

We stayed at the Harbor Inn in Matosinhos for 8 days in February. Sara is the best host! She made sure we were taken care of. We had a nice, spacious 2 room suite with a balcony. Breakfast included at the restaurant was listed as Continental breakfast, but was more like all you could ever want. Fresh rolls, pastries, ham, cheese, fruit, eggs, juice and coffee. Restaurant staff were welcoming. Short walk to the beach, and plenty of nearby restaurants. Short walk into town center, easy bus ride to Porto. Parking on the street below was free - unusual for the area.

I absolutely LOVED my stay at Harbour Inn! I wish I could have stayed longer. Sara and Paula and the other girls working there were so welcoming, kind and friendly, and went above and beyond to care for me and endure I had a wonderful stay! They even leave fresh baked goods out every day for the guests! Unbelievable for any accommodation. The room was beautifully designed and decorated, smelled softly like fresh roses when I opened my door each day, and the bed was super comfortable. Beautiful amenities and provision of luxe soaps/shampoo etc which were appreciated after the airport disposed of mine :p I truly can’t wait to visit Porto and the Design Inn again- and will highly recommend this place to all my loved ones and people visiting Porto. I was able to easily walk everywhere I needed to, and always felt safe as a solo female traveler entering and exiting the building.

Having read the reviews I thought they were too good to be true but I was wrong. Fantastic hosts, beautiful property, lovely rooms particularly the bathrooms. Very good breakfast. Lots of good restaurants within five minutes walk. Easy options to get into Porto by bus or metro. Close to the airport and right on the beach. We will certainly return.
