We had a lovely stay at The Jupiter Hotel. Although its a fair walk right into the centre (Riberia/Douro, about 40 minutes), the buses are really easy to navigate and taxis are cheap (about 5/6 euros). Its only about 20 minutes walk to other parts of town/where the tram goes from. The rooftop pool was great and the breakfast too.

Lovely property, friendly staff and very hardworking considering in person on the desk when we arrived. Had a queue of about 10 people waiting to check in and still was smiling under the pressure. Visited the spa £20 for 1 and half hours, rooftop pool supposed to be heated but very chilly. Great area but small. Great location only 15-20 minute walk to the attractions. I would suggest body lotion and separate shower gel and shampoo to make it an excellent property. Also most properties include milk for hot drinks and renew the water every day.

Really fantastic brand new hotel with lovely helpful staff and great facilities. Rooftop pool and bar very special. Breakfast was to die for. Nice to be a little away from hectic riverfront but bus and walking means easy access to centre. We would stay again and highly recommend!

very nice hotel looks very new clean modern. The room is very spacious great size nice view from the balcony. Staff was very helpful. I went half board and for the evening meal You get a set three course meal which was amazing like Michelin star. I was surprised to see the hotel was fairly quiet but nice to my liking. The rooftop pool is very cool which I use daily first time in an infinity pool. Nice central location room was very quiet and had great air-conditioning would definitely recommend

Clean and spacious room! Very fresh. The shower head was also great with good pressure. Unfortunately, the pool was closed due to an event, and this was the main reason we booked the hotel in the first place. But the room was very nice and it made up for it.

We had a nice stay at this hotel. It feels modern, and new, and the beds were exceptionally comfy, giving us a great night's sleep. The staff were also nice and friendly and welcoming throughout our entire trip. Our only minor setbacks were a couple of maintenance and housekeeping bits. We noticed a small leak under the sink whenever the shower was running; we did report it, but unfortunately, it didn't quite get sorted during our stay, which left some of our clothes stored underneath a bit damp. We also spotted a brown mark on the bedding but didn't get a chance to mention it at the time. This is a lovely hotel with fantastic people working here. With just a few quick tweaks and minor improvements to maintenance and housekeeping, it would be absolutely perfect. We would still highly recommend it for the great vibe and comfy rooms!

Is a fine hotel very upscale with things like rooftop pool and lounge and other things like a spa in the lower level with sauna steam rooms pool. It’s brand new hotel good breakfast restaurant options for dinner all the way around a good choice. Good location only 15 minutes from the downtown historic districts where you can grab a hop on hop off bus tour for about 32 euro’s takes you through the historic and unesco sites the Douro river are where you could hop on and off as you please or maybe grab a ferry ride down the Douro river and see Porto in its entirety. Porto is beautiful the history culture and architecture is unique and something special. We had a great time and look forward to doing it again.

I had a 3 night stay at Jupiter Porto Hotel. Here are the things I liked and disliked: Things I liked: The spa is fantastic. I booked 2 full body massages with Fabiana and she did a splendid job. I felt very relaxed afterwards. The reception staff at the Spa were super friendly and helpful. Top marks for the Spa. The hotel is clean. The breakfast is of top quality and plenty of options for everyone. My room was very nice and daily cleaning was very good. The housekeepers do a great job. The staff in general were professional and courteous. Things I disliked: Water is not replenished daily. You get one “complimentary” bottle. This is the first hotel I’ve been to that this has happened & I stay in a lot of hotels. After I asked I was eventually given 2 more bottles. A kettle is provided in the room, but I had no where to plug it in. The socket is located behind the mini fridge but inaccessible due to the desk being fixed to the wall. I had to unplug the desk lamp and plug the kettle in but then the cord was too short to place the kettle on the desk so I had to place it on the chair (see photo). That’s a bit of a design flaw & not thought through properly. The lunch buffet provided at €18 per person is not value for money. Not everyone likes meat. The dishes were not labelled up properly to indicate vegetarian etc. This needs improvements. This is a new hotel which has some teething problems. 3 out of 5 stars for this hotel for the reasons above!

-the balcony is useless, no furniture and you can’t actually spend time there. We booked the room thinking it would be nice to sit there in the evening but that was not the case.. you should not advertise balcony in the room type. -no bottle openers in the room, if you want something from the mini bar with a crown cap, you need to go to the reception to open it. Not very practical or convenient. +new clean and nice beds, powerful a/c. -pool good but it doesn’t have space for all guests and unfortunately people come early in the morning to book the sun chairs and then maybe arrive to occupy them hours later. This should be strictly forbidden as the space is already so limited.

Gorgeous hotel with helpful friendly staff. Exceptionally clean. We loved the rooftop pool! Surrounding neighbourhood is good for shopping and has many restaurants.

Great staff. The property can do with some more amenities. The smoking section is very small and only opens at 11. So you can’t enjoy a morning cigarette with your coffee. Otherwise commendable.

A brand new hotel Fluffy white towels and crisp white sheets Fridge in room super useful Excellent breakfast with all the usual things you would expect Roof top pool area was fabulous but small .slightly annoying to have to go to -3 floor to get pool towels to take to floor 8 where the pool was. Helpful check in staff who spoke excellent English No hotel parking yet but they have an agreement with a local carpark which allows you to come and go for €15 per day The hotel is a 35 minute walk to the Riverside mostly downhill. You will not want to walk it back again as uphill so get a bolt which are super cheap. Housekeeping was hit and miss we had to ask for loo roll and shower soap to be refilled The aircon in our original room didn't work so we were given another room so had to pack up our stuff and move on our 1st evening which was a shame The lighting on our corridor also failed making it difficult to find the lift! Overall a good stay but a few niggles

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und hat uns sehr gute Tips für Sehenswürdigkeiten in Porto gegeben. Getrübt wurde unser Aufenthalt dadurch, dass die gebuchte Juniorsuite am Anreisetag nicht zur Verfügung stand. Wir erhielten ein Superiorzimmer und konnten das gebuchte Zimmer am nächsten Tag beziehen.
