The pillows were really bad. The AC would turn off at the middle of the night. We reported this to the staff and they say it’s a safety protocol. Not a good one in my opinion

Good hotel for 1 night stay, nothing special. They need to update the old mattresses. Housekeeping starts early and don’t care if it’s the day after s joâo when everyone would like to sleep in a little bit….

Nice stay!
Small cozy room. Francisco, at the reception, is the best encounter I have had with checking ins. Super professional and very friendly simultaneously. Very good wifi. Good breakfast, not superb.

very close to football ground
Booked to be near Porto football ground for champions league final and it literally is a 5 minute walk - so absolutely perfect. Not much else around (McDonalds - which is sadly good for my son). Hotel are very trusting (I had a couple of drinks at the night and they told me to remember and tell them tomorrow to pay, which I did) only thing to note is in a morning they will provide a shuttle to the airport (at a cost) but that took 10 mins longer than it should to arrive. As it happened it wasn't a problem. Hotels.com strangely says check-in midnight and check-out 6am for this hotel - please ignore this as it isn't true

Location was further out than described but hotel was clean and comfortable. Good air-conditioning and nice breakfast. Maintenance could be improved as hotel is showing its age a little.

The photos from the hotel on the website are way better than the hotel in real life. Especially the bathroom. But overall it was a pleasant stay and the breakfast is pretty good!

At point of Check In we did not receive room I booked. When I addressed front desk they said everything else was already reserved (just as my reservation was booked in advance) but they could not accommodate my 1st night. Reception said they would make a note and rectify to specified room for 2nd night. After traveling all day we returned to hotel and notified no changes were made. To avoid stress to our PRE-booked weekend we proceeded to our room. Upon Check Out, huge line up, only 1 receptionist who was not interested in reviewing notes on reservation. An additional unsolicited service charge was added onto account. I told receptionist I had already paid first night in FULL to guarantee reservation (not a preauthorization) and showed her via my Online banking. She said I was not correct, charged me 2 nights again and ADDED service fee! I CURRENTLY have 1 night charged in full on my Visa, and 2nd charge for 2 nights (plus service fee!) On my Visa account. I am traveling abroad and can not communicate directly to bank as I will incure additional charges for long distance. Very displeased with service. Unfortunate being that property is very clean, housekeeping is so friendly as well as restaurant staff. Breakfast is very mediocre but waitresses were so kind that food wasn't a bother. Please don't charge for a service that was never provided! Check Out process was by far disrespectful. Currently dealing with additional charge that is NOT an authorization. Very foul.

Easy access
After a week in Portugal driving north to south and back up, I decided to stay overnight at the Porto Antas hotel prior to flying out. I arrived early before check in. The clerk was really nice and gave me my room anyway. The room was comfortable, quiet and super clean. The bathroom layout was simple and spacious. This hotel is fairly well deserved by the A20 interstate. Downtown is easily accessible from the very clean subway blue line at Dragao station. However, you'll have to walk down a steep hill around the Dragao stadium. The only beef I have is with the rather small list of English language channels on the tv set. Seems that The German tourist have better choices.

Right next door to the famous soccer stadium. A short uphill walk from last metro stop of several metro lines from airport. Not downtown or very close to tourist attractions but a quick bus or metro trip. Good deal for the price. Ideal for soccer fans.

Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Free wifi ( although sometimes a little flaky ) touch sensitive computed in the lobby. comfortable and clean rooms. very handy for FC Porto stadium and squash/tennis club. Would have preferred slightly more/different choice for breakfast, but was reasonably continental style and ran until 12pm at the weekends. staff fluent in English. Highly recommended.
