The breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious. They do cute things like tea and cookies at 5:00 p.m.. and a complimentary glass of champagne when you arrive. It was a very nice touch

Beautiful property and area, right next to Exeter Academy. As a public school graduate from the Midwest, I felt like I didn’t belong in the area, let alone this property, but the staff made us feel extremely welcome. They were so nice and seemed to enjoy their jobs. The breakfast spread was one of the best I’ve ever had. I would come here again in a heartbeat if I’m ever even close to the area.

We’re so happy with Exeter Inn that’s why we always try to book there even if it’s a smaller room. Helpful staff, great location to Main Street, walkable and nice quiet neighborhood. The Inn’s lobby smells nice like those Marriott hotels and their towels are so soft. If you want to have a Gilmore Girls hotel vibe go here!

A lovely building and outside area with nice dining room and bar. Needs a little updating but was very clean. We got one of the last rooms which was described as a favorite for solo travelers. Which means it was definitely too small for two people.

We got a warm welcome with cookies and tea and a glass of Champagne and got a voucher for a drink at the bar. Food was fabulous. Very clean. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was enough to start the day off. Free parking on site. Deco was beautiful.

We booked Exeter Inn for a night. We absolutely loved the staff, everyone was so pleasant and nice. Rooms were cleaned. They are going to renovate the whole building in 2027, so that would add some kore points to the place. If you are looking for charming, romantic New England staycation but in budget, this place is good for that.

Clean room. Easy parking. They are upgrading the hotel next year. Breakfast was mediocre with stale pastries and hard boiled eggs but it was appreciated. The elevator barely fit 2 people. Overall great for the price and a good option for folks without breaking the bank since the inn at the Bandstand is ridiculously priced. Had a few family members and friends stay here too and they were satisfied and will stay again.

Historic Inn within Exeter, outside of the Hotel Chains which made for a very enjoyable stay. Rooms were good, but do need a bit of updating, which I believe is in the process. This was a Birthday Trip for my 90-year-old Mother. She found the Inn accommodating for her needs. Thoroughly enjoyed the courtyard and afternoon Tea in the Garden. Staff was Excellent. Non-rushed, relaxing and easy stay in a quaint New England town with many historical sites.

This was a lovely inn with comfortable beds, clean rooms and plenty of parking. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant had a solid selection of dishes and after a long flight and a drive through heavy traffic it was great to be able to eat on site. We would stay here again.

This was my first time staying at The Exeter Inn. I loved everything about this quaint, clean, cozy Inn. The continental breakfast was wonderful, the rooms clean and just the perfect balance of modern and charming! A beautiful courtyard also.
